Excellent work Tom ! Thank you! I have a question, really now with better textures, the only fly in the ointment is the way Falcon uses the same tiles and repeats the patterns. How is this controlled and is there any way of altering this to get less repeating patterns , so the whole thing looks a bit more random? I guess for example that there is a standard village tile etc…if there were 20 different village tiles, for example, could you make Falcon choose them randomly?

Not really. There is a way to Auto-tile a theater when you first start and it could pic a few random tiles for a village, but it’s really going to do as little work as it needs to. The rest of the work is done by hand, one tile at a time and it’s up to the person placing the tiles to make it as random as possible given the restraint of how many versions of a given terrain tile, like a village he has to work with.
This is one of the main reasons it takes so long to put out a nice theater. How many versions of a certain village tile is he willing to make. Then mulitply that times all the other 100’s of different tiles you would want and how many version of each your willing to do.
It’s a long process for sure. Working in Photoshop making all these textures is also extremely exhausting.

Yes- The tiles are placed and thats the reason why you can see some textures over and over again. But well - I have a dream- That somebody will create a a new terrain with more high quality textures - Russia , Kuba or India for examble…. But I love Korea now

I wouldn’t paste them into your texture folder, I would replace the texture folder with Tomcatz texture folder, in other words remove and backup your old folder and replace it with the Tomcatz texture folder.
What’s the difference???

Hi Tom, what are the changes from the first texture pack? And Brian, what do you mean about it not being stable on line? The first pack seemed fine to me, no problems since I installed it?

Hi RPG, well, the cities & villages are the same as the original pack, also the Forest textures seem unchanged, but slightly lighter, more pale green? Apart from that I could not see much difference, so maybe you can tell me what I should be looking for? Unless of course I have done something wrong, but just copied in the textures to the relevant folder…

After doing as you suggested. Now I like the first pack, the new cities, forests etc were great. But now, all the Kunsan photoreal tiles are gone, the coast line looks like lego land and everything is bounded by straight lines. I like the field textures, but the way they look tiled is terrible…Have I still done something wrong or is this what you see? I just do not see that as an improvement if so…
