Seat height and HUD position in VR
-
In 4.37.2 update I can finally adjust the seat height in VR but I have problems with hud projection.
As I lower the seat in fact, the hud projection also goes down and I just can see the upper half of it.
I don’t know if this is correct or if it is a issue but it makes very difficult to see the hud with a lower seat position. -
This may or may not be of use to you but I’ve never needed to adjust the seat height position in VR. Just recenter the view once I’m in the pit seems to set everything in the right place. Have you tried that?

This would happen IRL: if you want to see farther down: look downward, otherwise you can’t see the HUD projection on the glass.
Maybe your solution is actually to center your view so your resting position is rotated downward toward the UFC/MFD’s?

The problem is that I have a 100% full real cockpit and, in order to easily actuate the switches on side consoles, I need to have the projected pit in the same position of the real one.
My real seat isn’t movable and it is in the lowest position, with sides very close to the lateral panels surface, so I also need to move the VR cockpit seat in a lower position. The first problem I see is that, using the adjust seat switch, I just lower the view point and not the seat and the effect is as I move my head close to my knees.
Moreover, doing so, I can just see the upper half of the Hud projected on the glass as the lower half goes outside the hud screen. What I’m trying to understand is if this situation is a BMS issue or if it is like so also in reality.

@bluc69 Im pretty sure that is realistic, for instance the F/A-18 HUD has the alignment circle for to set eyepoint for best HUD view. Even though HUDs are collimated to infinity, you have a limited view box to be able to look through properly.
You may want to try this mod if you can find extra facial interfaces for your VR headset:
