Ok, so…
Uninstalled - no problem
Reinstalled - no problem
Updated the updater - no problem
Installed update 1 and 2 - no problem
Ran the program, clicked on SETUP and it exited to windows…PC Spec

@Ragnar-1 what does run the program mean. You started BMS and at launcher you clicked setup?

Yes, the program loads and runs without problem and I can enter Instant action but… SETUP crashes it. I have found the crash log and I will send it to technical support -

You don’t mention anything about the launcher. -
I didn’t change anything in LAUNCHER so everything was default

@Ragnar-1 So why dont you set everything up in launcher? Then uncheck the override checked box if it is checked. Then leave setup in UI alone. Dont touch it.

So how do I change my screen resolution without going into SETUP? -
@Ragnar-1 You can’t. You need to find out whats wrong with your install that it crashes when you go to setup. It is not likely a BMS issue otherwise it would happen to many others.

Also it may not be a bad idea to confirm that at the bottom right hand corner of the UI screen in BMS says 4.37.2 to confirm the updates installed.

Yes, the updates are installed, many thanks again for all your input, I really have appreciated it!
I have decided to return the DCS, I’m sure Falcon BMS has a lot to offer but it is simply too geeky for me. I do not have the luxury of endless time to fiddle with it in order to get it to run straight out of the box!

Enjoy!The issue you have described is atypical and I’ve personally not heard of it in the entire history of BMS & in the decade+ that my gaming group has run a server. First of all, BMS is software for a PC, and like all software, there can be issue depending on the many various differences in client hardware, operating system & configuration, drivers, and additional software already installed on the PC.
Secondly, BMS 4.37.2 (for me and everyone else here) runs “straight out of the box”, and there are many here that were willing to help you troubleshoot your extremely unusual program error, yet it sounds like you may have even less patience than time. If you are unwilling to help yourself, there is nothing anyone here can do to help you. There is always a solution, and while most software like BMS tries to account for the many curve balls that a client PC can throw at it, sometimes it requires a little hand-holding. BMS is not unique in this regard, any software can fault, and the only course of action is to take a little time to fix it, or just not use it.
Finally, BMS and this helpful group of people will still be here when you find the time and patience to fix this issue. The manner in which you name-drop another game in the same genre here seems less like frustration with your issue and more like an attempt to slight those BMS devs and BMS pilots here trying to help you, and first impressions can be rough for anyone to shake. Frustration is wholly understandable, slights and ire will only push good people away. It is your PC that has an issue with BMS, and without working directly with you, it is not possible to resolve. We can help, but you must be willing to help yourself, too.
