CMS Keyboard shortcut missread.

I was having difficulties with the CMS button. I tried different methods of mapping. Nothing worked. The thing is sometimes it would work.
Until I was testing the buttons in the BMS UI and realized the command being read by the UI was “Shft+Alt+Home”. But the command mapped on my profile is “Alt+Home”.
Immediately, I openned the launcher to check in the keymapping section and of course it read the command as is. So I went back in the BMS UI setup and of course the first thing that comes up is the command with the “Shft” added. So I played around with a few commands to see if other command where wrong. I didn’t get anymore but who knows.
At one point i put in my CMS up command in and all of a sudden its “Alt+Home”, WTH!!!
Because I’ve been working on a profile for a few days and its becoming clear to me why I’m having such a hard time. There are a few instabilities there. We just have to hope for update #3. It seems its always the third one.

@101-Grizzly there is a lot of confusion here, not sure how to untangle.
1- why is this under Saitek category? (are you using Saitek software to map a button to this keypress? why?)
2- are you using Alt Launcher or are you crafting a key file manually…? either way, the default for SimCMSUp is [alt+Home]
SimCMSUp -1 0 0xC7 4 0 0 1 "STICK: CMS Up"
Just open your key file in Notepad or whatever to take a look, if you’re in doubt. The
0xC7
is the scancode for [Home] key, the next number4
means [alt]. (1
means [shift] and5
means [shift+alt].)3- you have to be very careful with software that generates keypress/release combos and sequences. BMS is a little sensitive to the order of press-and-release for shifted key combos. you can easily get a “stuck” command callback, or a stuck shift/ctrl/alt key, which may be related to your other thread about keyboard stopping working mid flight?
I don’t recommend using any third-party software to generate keypresses for BMS – but, if it’s unavoidable (like for voice-command apps to navigate the radio menus) use a non-shifted keypress… and take care never to press multiple of those buttons at the same time.

@airtex2019
Well, I guess I have a bit of studying to do.
Thanks!
