Click ‘Commit’
-
When the campaign appears, Click Exit to return to the ‘Campaign’ window. The selected campaign is still highlighted.
-
Click Commit again.
-
Nothing happens.
-
Substitute ‘Campaign’ above with ‘T.E.’, same thing (doesn’t) happen. But in the ‘T.E.’, the selected T.E. is not still highlighted when you return to the ‘T.E.’ window, which hints that it (or some other selection) needs to be highlighted before you ‘Commit’ again.
If coding consistency is important (and it is), then don’t keep a selection highlighted as ‘selected’ upon return to a previous window when the code doesn’t recognize it as selected.

@SoBad I seem to remember this is a very old bug that the work around is so automatic I can’t remember it.

It’s really not a bug, Amway, just inconsistent coding. The T.E. handles the described sequence correctly. The Campaign does not. I had a successful career as a User Interface designer (1987 to 2019), so I guess I’m hyper-aware of that sort of thing.

can you imagine sitting for a usability test, for the BMS 2d UI? <shudder> lol

Bud, I would be like a rabbit in a briar patch with a highlighter in each hand! BMS is absolutely amazing, but much of the U.I. could use a serious makeover. But I’ve been told more than once in the past that more important issues should be addressed first. I personally think that BOTH should (and could) be addressed, but that’s my bias, I guess.

@SoBad I don’t have inside knowledge but I think I’ve heard said, the 2d UI is getting improved or replaced… so don’t dive too deep on usability testing on 4.37.
-
Not much will be done in 4.37 to fix UI as there is already a revamp in place for 4.38

Thanks, Max. Looks more and more that 4.38 will be a major release in a lot of ways, large and small. I know that demands vs. resources make you pick and choose, so I’m glad to hear that U.I. is getting some attention.
