X56 View Pan
-
I just got an X56 upgrading from my Extreme 3d Pro or whatever it was. So, I do not yet have or use track ir…and am wanting to use the thumb stick on the flight stick to free pan my view…but I cannot figure it out. Using the POV switch foe it currently which is clunky and I’d like to assign that to something else. Can anyone help, or is that just not how the little thumb stick works. Thank you guys

@LevelZero should work. it often breaks after people try TrackIR or OpenTrack etc… leaves leftover reg key that makes BMS think you still have head-tracking setup.
Do you have anything in this registry key?

@airtex2019 It apparently will only let me map this thumbstick on the flight stick to FOV, but not actual head movement. I think the answer is I just need to get some kind of face tracking going on here.

can you explain … do you mean, not the direction your head is looking but the position of your head in the cockpit?
if so, yes, you’ll want some form of 6-degree-of-freedom head tracking.
it’s possible to do this with the mouse … press and hold middle button (button #3) and move mouse cursor. but not very usable, while in flight.
