@Radium Hello everyone,
Just to let you know that Mitsubishi F-1 -3D mesh is now finished.
Next phase will be preparation for export into 3DSMax and uvw creation.
I worked hard on it today everything’s good.
I added a lot of details and corrected a lot of stuff.
This weekend will be a family wedding time so do not expect anything new for a couple days.
Stay tuned !

@Radium yours are the best communicated projects!
-
@dumba what’s the point making things secret ? BMS is just a game after all. Let’s have fun and enjoy !
-
Hello !
here is the final exported model :
(Smoothing is still dirty :))
Uvw mapping has then started !

Hello !
Unwrapping is going well !
Radium
-
Hello,
things are going forward !
I would say that 75% of the aircraft is unwrapped now.
I spent a lot of time to unwrap Vulcan gun, wings are also fully unwrapped (only spoilerons and flaps need to be done now).
Next phase will be gears and engine, which are always long to unwrap !
Talking again about liveries, I made some more researches, and here is my findings (some of them were already shown) :
- Of course, I like the regular Mitsubishi F-1 livery (Tsuiki 6th TFSQ), that will be the first to be done (5)
- Second to be done will be the grey one (Tsuiki 6th TFSQ), that is very operational like (I don’t really like special anniversary liveries, I prefer combat ready ones) (3)
- I guess, the third to be done will be the “forest green” (1), that I really like. It is really combat style (Misawa 8th TFSQ). I definitely want a 8th TFSQ livery !
- (2) and (4) are really nice and look close (Tsuiki 6th TFSQ). Not sure I will make both, I may prefer (4) because of its slightly different colors that I like.
Also :
Some of you may have noticed that there is two kinds of canopy for F-1. I will nly do the late one, not the three-parts legacy one.
Stay tuned,
Radium

@Radium: Question, when you say model the vulcan gun, you mean?
-
@parislord Hello !
I mean this :
When the aircraft will be switched off, the door will be open. Once some will increase, the door will close.

Hello,
spent all my day to work on uvw.
It’s always the 25% last percentage of work which is the longest isn’t it ?
I try to make a precise uvw, as usual, and template is already almost full !
I hope to start texturing next week.
Stay tuned !

Hello !
Unwrapping is not finished, but I wanted to make an ambiant occlusion test, to check that everything works well.
I am pretty satisfied with the results, but some stuff need to be corrected before doing the final one.
If you are interested, this is a 4096² x 1024 samples render to texture.
Stay tuned !

Hello,
still unfinished, but… Everything is unwrapped, except gears and engine nozzles
Stay tuned !

Hello everyone !
Unwrapping is finished !
In the end, there will be three texture files :
- Main diffuse map : 1 x 4096² (most of the aircraft)
- Secondary diffuse map : 1 x 2048² (gears, pilot, dragchute, engine details)
- Alpha channel map : 1x1024² (all licenceplates, roundels and transparencies).
I am now trying to find the best colors (not the ones that you can find on model boxes, but the ones that you will have the best rendering ingame.
Well, I woke up 4am to finish this, for now I will enjoy my real life weekend !
Stay tuned,
Radium
