Mitsubishi F-1/T-2

Hello everyone,
@Aragorn I always guessed that to reach your level of second degree, two persons were necessary ! Just kidding of course. Funny thing is that in my countries, it’s rather common to announce “we” when a radio contact with a ATC, even if alone It’s a way to say : “my airplane and I”
@parislord I never heard about “royal we”. In my countries, third person speach for yourself is rather used. One famous actor here used to speak about himself using “he”, which looks a little bit bold
@drtbkj as always, my 3D models are offered to everyone. It’s not because I do not want to be affiliated with any kind of group or team that I am closed to them. I just want to stay “free and alone, without any trademark”. I am with everyone. In my signature, it’s written : freelance. It expresses exactly what I am here : a mercenary Nevertheless, there is some people that I highly respect whom I work very closely and recurently on my projects, who share similar principles.
To come back to Mitsubishi F-1/T-2 topic, here is some news :
Here is 3rd TFSQ of Misawa (Misawa had two Tactical Fighter Squadrons, the 3rd “Samurai”, and the 8th “Panther”. Misawa is located in northern Japan, close to Hokkaido island, in Aomori prefecture. Tsuiki (and its 6th squadron that I represented a lot for F-1, with the yellow and black roundel depicting a fighting bow) is located in Fukuoka, Kyushu island, southern Japan.
I will now go to an Aggressor livery, from Nyutabaru, Miyazaki prefecture, also in Kyushu. This one will not be easy to make, so, please let me some time before any update !

Hello,
This aggressor livery is really interesting and difficult to achieve.
I am doing my best to find the exact colors (the existing pictures are usually too blueish)… I also try to find a good average for faded effects on this livery… From one picture to another one, it changes a lot.
Just a WIP !

Hello,

She was hard and long to finish, but here we go !
I am very happy of the final result !
More to come,

Hi, Radium, As we have discussed, I completely understand your viewpoint. In fact I was making the offer for exactly that reason. We try real hard to not put your stuff in our releases without your specific consent. So, it’s all good, and you know the invitation is always there.
-
@drtbkj Please.
I wrote to you :

I am happy if you use them, but no need to mention again an “invitation”. It will not happen

Hello !
I just finished my last livery : Matushima 21st TFSQ 1986 !
Because it’s mostly white, it’s less impressive in term of render. I tried my best to honour this bird.
Now, I will work to enhance the flight model.
Cheers !

I’d love a post where you just put screens of EVERY model and skin mentioned and posted in this thread.
We could see them ALL in a single post.
Easier to choose my new desktop wallpaper…!

I’d vote for a general Radium screenie-thread, all the models/skins back to the beginning!

@parislord Hello !
My friend and partner @kouzi is the best of Falcon universe for it !
I had a glimpse of it yesterday, I think he will post something there soon !

Dear friends,
Initially, release of Mitsubishi F-1 was expected this weekend.
Due to two serious issues, the project needs some investigations.
-
For some unknown reason, multi texture implementation is impossible on T-2. It looks to be due to helpers (Switch, slots or Switches). Need to investigate this, this will take time, as I am almost getting crazy with this project, so close from release.
-
Because BMS was not designed for open/close movements for gear doors, I have an issue that I am not able to fix : wheel is going a bit through the door. A release is not acceptable that way. It’s been days I try to find solutions, but nose gear bay is so narrow that I can’t open, and close the door without an impact on the other. Especially if I use Acdata delays. I know some people will claim that it’s not correct. Because I aim quality, I can’t release it that way.
For this reason, there will not be much news soon. A long and difficult time is starting now : debug.
I hope to release v1.0 as soon as possible, as the aircraft is herself, ready.
Stay tuned,
Radium

Hello,
Some news here… Issues are still there, but, I think that I found the issue with Mitsubishi T-2 multi-livery issue.
When I export F-1, I get this :
As you see, texture numbers are continuously following each other when exporting.
When I export T-2, here is what I get :
As you see, there is a mess with the two first textures.
I really don’t get it…
Here is how my models are done :
This is what I call Mitsubishi F-1/T-2 common trunk… It integrated all common parts. It is dispatched on a first layer.
Here is Mitsubishi F-1 specific.
Here is Mitsubishi T-2 specific.
(yeah, there is 5 licenseplates on F-1, 4 on T-2, because I needed some place on T-2 template texture
I will not talk about some strange export issues (sometimes, exporter does not like one Switch linked with two parts… So, you need two Switches… Don’t ask me why, I don’t know.
Anyway, I keep investigating.
I still didn’t found a solution for my nose gear door issue. I m:ay have an idea, but need to check. I really would like to solve my multi-livery issue first.
Beside that, I decided to avoid texture reuse. Then, in the past, I had :
<TextureSet Name=“Set:1”>
<TextureNumber>10025</TextureNumber>
<TextureNumber>10052</TextureNumber>
<TextureNumber>10083</TextureNumber>
<TextureNumber>10028</TextureNumber>
</TextureSet>Now we have :
<TextureSet Name=“Set:1”>
<TextureNumber>9516</TextureNumber>
<TextureNumber>9517</TextureNumber>
<TextureNumber>9518</TextureNumber>
<TextureNumber>9519</TextureNumber>
</TextureSet>Then, it will be much easier and give more flexibility for theater makers.
Stay tuned,

Hello,
-
Good new is : gears animations are now smooth, no collision, works really well !
-
Almost disaster : erased by mistake my source file… last update was 9/9… So, unacceptable. I had to rebuild all my layers with different saves… After 4 hours of work (and one big nerves collapse - sorry @kouzi), , everything is there, perfectly updated.
-
Multi livery issue is still there. No idea how to solve it.
Stay tuned !

Hello,
Just to let you know that Mitsubishi TF-1/T-2 are now in internal release candidate status: I’ve just done v0.99 build.
If everything goes well, I will publish v1.0 tomorrow.
Kouzi and I are preparing the final package and fixing the last bugs.
Beside that, I am closely working with dev team to release it with the next BMS release.
Stay tuned !

Hello,
Unfortunately, no release for tonight and very soon.
I thought it was solved, but we still have a big issue with texture numbers. This litterally drives me crazy.
So, no release for now.

Hello everyone,
After internal discussions, I am happy to announce that Mitsubishi F-1 and T-2 will be integrated into stock BMS database (one good friend of mine here is having a hard time to sort all the mess I could have provided with my files !) Thanks for his patience !
Because of the new file format (.bml) that will be soon deployed I finally decided not make a release here, out of this new stock BMS database.
One of the reasons is that this integration requires some updates that are not retro compatible with 4.36. Therefore, we prefer to look forward than maintaining retrocompatibility.
Here is some glimpses of our Mitsubishi F-1 into the next BMS build (thanks for dev team clearance for publishing) :
So… I consider this project completed for v1.0, and this thread terminated for dev phase !
Best regards,
Radium and Kouzi
