Solved Could not creat device on adapter
-
@brk195 That’s a classic - I seem to remember it having to do with sound devices. Does that make sense in your case, headset issues, more than one sound device conflicting, running a VM etc ?
-
@jayb that’s what I’ve read as well as far as VM’s I’m not running one but I did forget to mention that I’m running a Reverb G2 for VR
Both VR and 2D modes give me the same issue.these are all the audio devices running on my system :
I’ve ran BMS before with this exact set up.
-
@brk195 The VR headset is probably a sound device if turned on. It’s a bit hazy, but I seem to remember others solving that by not turning on the VR headset until after the PC had launched Windows. Or something along those lines. So you could try BMS in non-VR, do not turn the VR headset on at all.
-
@jayb well that seems to be the solution for 2D mode just like you said so there is that at least.
Does this mean I can’t use VR at all then or is there a fix for that ?
And thank you very much for taking the time to hlep BTW. -
@brk195 No, VR works for a lot of people, don’t worry. I don’t use it myself but some searches here should give tips to solve it or the right people will come along and sort you out. Hang in there

@brk195 This seems to have solved the problem for some people:

A non-curated list of other similar topics, not all have solutions like the one above:

@jayb yeah I’ve seen a few of those the Bat file didn’t do anything it doesn’t even want to run so I don’t know about that one I can try to reinstall my graphics drivers maybe.
Thanks again ! -
@jayb Yeah so update I uninstalled the nvidia drivers cleaned everything up issue still persists when the Reverb is on.
Disabling or enabling some of the audio devices didn’t do anything either. -
@brk195 Did you try running the command mentioned here:
https://forum.falcon-bms.com/post/360495
Basically run this in a cmd window when the VR headset is turned on/enabled:
@echo off logman stop HolographicShell -ets
Otherwise, perhaps make a post in the VR subforum here, think there is one for your brand
-
@jayb That was it !! I didn’t run it properly I didn’t do it properly .
@jayb said in Could not creat device on adapter:

This right here did it No Batch file required.
Thank you very much I truly appreciate it.
