Anyone having issues with VIPER TQS C-usb connector
-
I started the setting up the new TM TQS today. As soon as I was at the step where you go to game controllers, I knew I have a problem. I think the C-usb solder on the board is bad. If I barely move the TQS, I can hear with the windows sound the device keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. ANYONE ELSE seen this?
I have finished programming with TARGET, and it seems to be working as promised by TM.
Now to contact TM for RMA, or just return to Amazon.com.
This is just a hassle, but in the long run, worth going new TQS…I HOPE!! -
USB connector on the TQS is mechanical fine here. The placement is debatable, tho.
Two issues here:
- the black print on my TWA ACT/PWR button peeling off
- MODE knob cap has play that results in slipping in both directions with a very noticeable „click“. The fact that the MODE and PRGM button is so tight and hard to move makes every switch.

@r00t
thanks for the rely. So yours is solid. that is good to know. -
SO far the Viper TQS , once it is very securely mounted to my cockpit frame and some tape to hold the C-usb connector to the frame, I am having no issues with the TQS.
I am very pleased with this new throttle!!!
Still waiting to get a email response from TM about why it did this.

@huffer2
I have finally recieved a response from TM, and they are sending me a replacement USB cable. -
Hi, my USB Connectore and Cable which isnt the best processed cable in the world are working even when i move from the “parking” postion to the “gaming” postion left corner from table to the middle but im also very cautious beacue the USB C connector isnt 100% in the TQS, so im thinking to order a diffrent cable to have one as back up

@Echo
TM said to me in their email that a smart phone cable can be used as a substitute. I am having them send me a replacement since it is their responsibility. -
@huffer2
I also have thesame problem here. I will try another USB cable. Thanks for sharing this info! -
@101-Spyder
hope all is now well with your TQS.
My SOLID mounting of the TQS solved the issue. -
I am having this problem also. It feels like a ultra-cheap chinese toy port.
