Android DX Buttons?
-
Hello! Does anyone know a software that can send DX buttons from an Android tablet to a computer?
Thanks.

I haven’t tried it yet but I guess you can add vJoy interface to Helios.
-
@Sabre you might be able to do something with touchosc and joystick gremlin. I cannot verify that right now, since I’m away from my BMS machine. If nothing exists, I might write a small tool one day that allows converting midi note presses to dx buttons.
-
So use some OSC tool on Android to send midi messages, then use something like https://midikey2key.de/ to create key presses or dx button presses.

@kungfoo Interesting thought…We could possibly collaborate on a plugin between your app and FoxVox to translate android buttons to JoyToKey.
Probably unnecessary in the future though if/when BMS gets direct callbacks supported. Just an idle thought.

@foxster yeah, the jury is still out on the udp socket that accepts callback messages (password protected or signed messages).

Android to vJoy (not JoyToKey) would actually be great. Otherwise SIM Dashboard works fine for keys.
Thanks.

@Sabre My bad…that’s what I meant - vJoy. Too many joystick apps!!

I tried this for awhile with DCS, its been a few years now but seemed to be solid software that’s still being actively developed:
