TrackIR and widescreen

@reaper I am running a wide screen as well with my TrackIR 5. Yassy’s profile doesn’t solve the problem. I have experimented for many hours on many settings trying to desensitize the slightest bit of head movement when looking down in the cockpit. It is very frustrating chasing cockpit switches with your mouse. When looking straight ahead yaw is not a problem for stability. It is pitch down that is most troublesome. I just received my new WinWing ICP to eliminate some of the frustration using the mouse on the ICP. Having the ability to togggle freeze a focal point at any time would be great.
This is my current TrackIR-5 setting, still trying to improve it.

Pressing F9 with TrackIR 5 will freeze the screen enabling easy use of the mouse to activate switches in the cockpit.

In the hot list and Yassy’s thread I believe I have uploaded my version which is based on Yassy’s profile which makes it more easy - stable.

@Arty Kneeboards?
-
@mjones what about them?
-
@Arty your link to the Hot List page did not show TrackIR setting info. It was about kneeboards,
-
@mjones I didn’t provide any link for the hotlist in my posts. The link for the hotlist is in my signature.
Get in the hotlist and search for trackir. -

Copy of Yassy_BMS.xml is my alteration. -
@Arty Yes, I found it here,
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?8369-TrackIR-4-5-BMS-Profile-by-Yassy
It did not work better for me, as I stated above. I will try your copy.
Thank-you.

Give opentrack a try. It has more options than you could wish for and it’s also easy to configure, especially w/r to axis shaping.
I also got a winwing orion 2 throttle recently and mapped the two “clicky” buttons on the bottom of the F-16EX grip to “opentrack freeze toggle” and “opentrack re-center” which works lovely as I don’t have to take my hand off the throttle for these functions.
I also added some FoxVox voice commands to achieve the same functions using voice input.
