TM TQS and Winwing Orion 16EX - what those use for radar cursor microstick?
-
I wonder did anyone has done tear-apart of said throttles to found out what part TM and WinWing used for radar cursor microstick? Is it any better than what is available for old Cougar TQS?
And if so could it be adapted to fir Cougar TQS? -
Delta Sims sells a replacement microstick for the Cougar TQS.

He also sells a force cursor for the old Cougar TQS which is like the real one. I’ve got the first one off the production line and it’s amazing. Not cheap though but it is so nice to use.

Also I can personally vouch for Damien and deltasim when it comes to customer support. I’ve got 2 force sensors off him (his old Warthog one, new Cougar one) and I have 3 warthog x-box ones as presents for friends and he has been simply excellent with any issues I’ve had.

Thanks guys for the DeltaSim force-sensing microsick. Last time I’ve checked their page there was only regular one. For sure that’s quality piece of equipment, but 180£ is close to new bare TM TQS minus what I could sell old Cougar TQS with stick base for. Heck at this point I could sell complete Cougar and get new Warthog grip for not that much extra …
So kinda question still stands, what those new units use for radar cursor stick. If it’s same garbage like Cougar/Warthog then your my question could be reversed, how to fit this fancy DeltaSim ministick into those new throttles … At least I’d have 2-3 years before original piece degrades to the point of needing replacement.
Definitely proper tear-down review would be handy. -
@Xeno I’ll almost guarantee that TM and Winwing are using the ALPS mini sticks as they are plentiful and certainly winwing uses ALPS stuff elsewhere.
Also remember that TM have even replaced the junk old “nipple” cursor on he original warthog with the new ALPS style one.
