Very simple but when you d’nt know !!Don’t feel bad. My first "bang my head on the desk’ experience was when I couldn’t get the jet to move because I didn’t know you have to reverse the brake axis’!

Another problem with Triggers !
I configured my Triggers with Alternate Launcher as you explained and I succeeded (you can see the result in the screenshot) but I can’t activate laser for exemple when using Mavericks L, using Trigger 1 or Trigger 2. The L is never flashing despite multiple trys!!!
Can you give me some help to resolve this ?
-
@Marge laser mavs are very finicky
Ensure SOI is the TGP and you’ve got a point-track or area-track
Also double check laser-arm… laser set to CMBT power on the DED page
Lastly, realize there’s some warmup time for the laser… will take about 30 sec before L appears on the HUD
-
Yes I did all these checks many times and the L appears on the TGP and the HUD, but never flashing. I tried with GBU 12 (with15 seconds lase), altitude 15000ft and same punition, the bomb drops but no flashing L so any splash on the target, in spite of maintaining a no masking flight.
Some suggestion welcome ! -
Hi, @Marge . It looks like you have it set up correctly. Perhaps you should also set a keyboard command to First Trig along with the HOTAS and/or set FT to a button you know works ,and see if the laser then works. If it does, it’s some issue with your HOTAS trigger

Hello @drtbkj , I reconfigured the two triggers on the Gladiator and it’s working now, pressing the first trigger start the laser with L flashing, but I must keep the trigger pressed to make a continuous lase (buddy lasing).

Si vous possédez un Joystick à double détente …trigger 1 et 2 comme le le Warthog par exemple,vous le pouvez pas bloquer l’activation du laser avec le trigger 2.
If you have the “joysticktest” software…http://www.planetpointy.co.uk/joystick-test-application/
you can see that if you press trigger 1 to engage the laser, you have to press harder to activate trigger 2 and keep the laser active.
The problem is that, when checked with the test joystick, both triggers are active.
So you’re forced to keep pressing on Trigger 2 to keep the laser active. You should be able to deactivate Trigger 1 so that it doesn’t interfere with laser operation.
If you’re using the BMS launcher, you need to use a key other than the trigger, which is what I’ve done and it works fine… -

The mysteries of computers !That’s great, and having to hold the trigger is not a bug. Mine does that.too

@Marge - might want to check just where your laser Trigger is assigned…it should fire on Detent 2 (only). Detent 1 should start and continue AVTR recording.
-
@Stevie That is incorrect.
-
@SOBO-87 - it’s correct for the RL Platform I work on, so I took a shot…
…also, from the actual Dash 1…
-
@Stevie that literally says something different … but no matter, there is no “laser” command callback in BMS, the callbacks are literally SimTriggerFirstDetent and SimTriggerSecondDetent … simply assign them accordingly, no need to complexify further

Yes… and the Dash-1 shows that the laser fires on first stage trigger…
