BMS Key File Help

Hi Eagle,
ha, ha. I didn’t forgot one damn callback
The reason you can’t find them in my list is, that they are mostly depricated and not safe for future use.
There are also callbacks in your list which don’t work correctly (or at all) with BMS. The 2D Pit callbacks for an example (OTW Views…).
Others are simply replaced, e.g. CMS up/dn/lt/rt callbacks replace DropFlare / Chaff , ECM Consent / Standby.
To much too explain it for each callback. Of course you will find some working. But as stated above, they are outdated.
I also dropped all dev callbacks, as the guys who are concerned know them already and the other ones most likely do not care.Regards

Thx Kolbe! As it is now part of the U4 update, I pledge to make some effort (in the little spare time I have left) to change my current setup from my own custom keyfile to yours, that way it’ll be easier to share my setup (thinking about sharing combo of X52Pro+ Cougar MFD + G13 + BTV control panel).

Rgr,
if you need any help let me know… -
Hey Kolbe!
Thanks for your keyfile. It -really- comes in handy. very glad to see it in stock install now! -

if I use the German layout, I will get the keys: Ins, Del, Pos1 etc… forming errors runtime error 13 type mismatch.

Is there a new actual DL Link to geht the latest Version?
-
Hi Ronald,
long time no see. Hope, you’re fine…Not yet. I am working on an update but due to my move to a new house i’m delayed. Don’t know
how much time I will need to finish it, 'cause the next Buchenau LAN has to be prepared as well.
So the latest version is still in your BMS install folder -> User / Joystick / Generic / KolbeRegards
-
Hi Marco, sure, I am fine… looking Forward to Buchenau
What are you making new? I actual work out my cockpit-Software and everyone told me not to write the hole file new at one, they told me to take your key file becuase every Thing is in there, not the toggle commands, but all the direct commands.
I read that it should be in the Doc-Folder but I was not able to find it. I have no Generic, and also in Cougar just 3 directories… nothing from you. And this at all 3 BMS installations
Would it be possible for you to send it at ze_534en at Hotmail.com?
Greetings
-
Kuhprah, are you using the update 4 for BMS?
-
Blu3wolf is right. U4 has to be installed to see that folder.
I’ll send you my newest files asap. -
Hi Kolbe,
Good luck and congratulations with your new house. Gives always a lot of work ;-(
I have 1 question about your latest keyfile (Full version).
You have mapped the F1 key to```
F1 Radio:IVC broadcast UI & 3Dand the F2 key to``` F2 Radio: IVC 2DComms (Only Ui)
However on your PDF keyboard layout (US-int) the F1 and F2 keys are assigned to ICP COM1 and ICP COM2.
Now I’m playing arround with Helios and try to make an ICP panel in cooperation with your keyfile. What is the best way to change the F1 and F2 key so I can use them for my ICP panel?
-
I use U4… but I do not have that Folder on my Win 7 fly PC; on teh WIn 8 Office PC and Win 7 Office PC… nowhere a Folder like that

I changed mine to F7 and F8, as I had the same problem you did… just make the ICP COM1 and ICP COM2 keys F7 and F8, and then set your helios panel to press F7 and F8 instead. simple.

@Kolbe
THXC:\Falcon BMS 4.32\User\Joystick\Generic\Kolbe
this folder does not exist on your PC? check the file structure carefully… if it is not there, you may need to reinstall BMS.
it should be in the install folder, then the USER folder, and then joystick\Generic\Kolbe.
-
Thanks. However I use F7 for the precision mode for my trackIR and F8 for an another program. But it is nice to know that I’m not doing something wrong.
-
oh well, as long as you use some key that is unassigned, you should be fine.
-
Ronald, as long as U4 is installed properly you should have my files in the folder mentioned above.
In this version of my key files is an issue with the F1 / F2 keys. It is already adressed in my next update.
Problem is, that BMS uses always the second key occuring in the file. My key file uses both keys twice. For ICP and as a reference to the IVC function in UI (the keys are set to SimDoNothing here).
The IVC stuff appears after the ICP stuff in the file hence BMS skips the ICP functions and “thinks” F1 & F2 is set to SimDoNothing. Hope you get what I mean.To solve this just delete the both IVC lines which are set to keys F1 & F2 and ICP should work properly again.
