Morphine's Profile
-
Downloaded all the attachments you have provided. When I run Target Script Editor it says “Complile error: Type required in FalconBMS-Warthog.tmc at line 1”
I followed your instructions to the 'T" placing the files where you indicated and the setup in the “Controllers” portion of setup in the game. Not sure what that error message is telling me to do. I believe I got it to run when I first set it up, but when following the directions to "Run the Target Script Editor " each time you start the sim, it now gives me that error message. I’ve opened both the DX file and the .tmc file and cannot figure out what the problem is. Any help would be appreciated. Should be obvious I’m not really TARGET savvy at this point. -
Okay. got the compiler error resolved. Now if I can figure why the profile is not working on my WH. Example, the Left Throttle Button that is supposed to “uncage” and switched “Center Trim” swaps MFD’s when pushed. Checked the key file and they are indicted there as “uncage” and “Center Trim” I’ll keep after it as it is a learning experience.

Did you check controller ID? What other controller do you plugged in?

Thanks SanPats,
As I said, these types of issues force us to learn the intricacies of the sim. I presently have Morphine’s profile working pretty much as designed. Still a learning curve since the differences in the WH and the Cougar that I was used to. Seems my in game issue was because I didn’t put the .TMC file into the Thrustmaster TARGET "scripts " folder. I simply linked the Target Script Editor to the file located in the folder I created when I downloaded all Morphine’s various parts. Once in the right folder, and run through the Script Editor, I seem to be up and flying. Now just a matter of learning all the “buttons”. -
You may have read about this elsewhere but just in case… Make sure you set the following files to “Read Only” once you have setup your controls. If you don’t and accidentally start the sim before TARGET your settings will be reset and you will have to redo them.
C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\User\Config\axismapping.dat and C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\User\Config\joystick.cal

How do I make the cursor to move around?

How do I make the cursor to move around?
The Radar cursor is set inside of BMS on the Controllers -> Avionics page. Using the drop down to select Cursor X and Y. You may have to reverse Cursor Y for it to work properly.

Copy thanks.

Posted a new thread by mistake.

In addition to the china hat issue, I also cannot find where to change the scan width of radar. Clicking the cursor button doens’t work.

It’s OSB 18 on your FCR MFD.
-
As Sarge55 said, OSB 18 cycles the Azimuth between 60, 30 and 10 degrees. You can also cycle the Azimuth between 30 and 60 by “bumping” the X cursor… that is scrolling it off the screen to the left or the right.
-
Ok I just always had profiles that allowed you to do that with a button press. Morphine, do you know what’s up with the china hat? I can actually move the bar in the settings, but it doesn’t register in the pit.

See response in your other thread.
The issue is that you are expecting the HOTAS to have the same functionality as whatever profile you used previously. However, the functionality was not realistic, in that the real HOTAS does not have those functions (which is how the BMS developers programmed the sim and how I tried to implement that functionality in the profile). Look at the BMS Manual for a diagram of the real the HOTAS and the corresponding BMS functions.
That being said, if you want certain functions on the HOTAS, programming the key file and the TARGET profile will allow you to do almost anything you can want or imagine.

Hi, One more question, before when trying to lock a ground target I would push TMS Up once and it would ground stabilize, how do I perform that task now, as that no longer works.
Thanks
Ron -
You can not lock all ground targets like you could in previous versions. For most targets you can only TMS up which ground stabilizes the TGP and puts it on AREA mode. This is the primary way you drop LGBs. For most vehicles and at certain ranges you can TMS up to then place the TGP in SPOT mode which is similar to the old way of locking a target.

Thank you very much.I’ve printed the picture of ICP onto A4 plain sticker, and cut the buttons to paste on the G13.
