Hammers BMS Falcon Sound mod released!
-
You may need to further adjust your sound sliders. The sound file is called Rumble.ogg if you want to turn the file itself up.

tnx for these mod but , where and what folder to extract to ?any insruction on how to extrct would be great ,tnx again
-
Playing rumble.ogg in VLC, it’s near-impossible to hear compared to every other sound in the folder. I put it up to 200% volume, and still could barely hear it. I think you got your levels off big time on this one. No amount of slider tweaking’s going to fix that.

Hammer time!!! thanks mate!

just curious on your sound setup. 2 speaker, or a 5.1?

You can use winrar to extract the 7z file type.
-
Extract into your bms main folder as its named and it will put the files where they need to go but I would back up your originals

2 speakers and a pair of decent headphones. The sound is basically inaudible in-game (outside noise slider set to “no earplugs”). It’s also hard to hear when just playing the sound file.

Please go through the readme I provided and view the slider settings jpeg I have first I’d say. If they are still too quite, adjust a slider at a time and just do a quick dogfight to take a quick listen. If you still have issues after that I will be glad to address them.
-
I have 5.1 speakers and 5.1 headphones. Did you view the slider Jpg? If anyone is having issues hearing the sounds its a good idea to adjust one slider at a time starting with the picture I provided.

I’m not completely sure what you are asking me about the use of “some files in the next version.” Please clarify what you are asking me. I will say I think that part of what you are hearing when shutting down the engine in flight is that it is still turning due to air flow into the intake. Also part of that is the way the Falcon sound engine behaves. I will however try and duplicate what you said about "hearing throttle regulation after engine shut down in flight.
But as a rule It’s never a good idea to shut down an engine in flight. Also just for those who have 2 speaker headsets or what not, I will keep that in mind next time.

I would like to show your work to Jester and ask for its opinion … if validated by our F-16 drivers team and by Jester, do you authorize us to use some of your file for BMS 4.3x integration into stock install ?
@Dee-Jay & Hammer:
Please be careful with such discussions. We can not / will not incorporate 3rd part work into BMS just because we like it. We can only do this if the original creator actually is willing to hand over his SOURCE files and the right to use them in the future as well, because it might be necessary to adjust them for future updates or for compatibility reasons. And if we only have the “final files” without sources or without the right to use/modify the sources, there is no point in including them. In such cases, it’s better for everyone if a “mod” stays exactly this: a mod.Hence I strongly suggest not to do such discussions in public. If we really feel that a particular mod and/or mod developer would be helpful to us, we can always take this discussion on a private level (PM).
My comment is neither meant as an offense to anyone, nor is it a judgement of the work that has been done. I just wanted to clarify that it is not an easy thing to include mods right into the BMS base installation. I hope you understand…

Yeah I see what DNK is saying. I played the rumble file with my player and it is a very low sound especially compared to the original. I have a 5.1 setup with my headphones as my rear speakers. Not sure if it was meant to be a low sound.

I’m not clear on what he’s asking. I said nothing about 3rd party anything. I am the original creator of the sound files I produced.

Hammer, let’s not confuse ourselves and the thread readers too much, I’ll contact you on PM, ok?

Curious about this one since Dee-Jay’s above request … Could anyone post a YouTube video of this mod for a demo? Thanks…
