Since there is the 3ds file and u have it PLEASE do the reflections… for the Canopy. It would be great. Also I would gladly do the bullet holes(??) and some cracks on the canopy if u want.

EarlybiteYou need to use LOD Editor. Follow the instructions that come with it. Back up the BMS folders before you do it.

It’s not as scary as it looks. Backup your objects folder before hand. I just zip mine up in the same folder. If things go really sideways just unzip it and you’re back where you started. There are several guides on how to append models to the database. Basically, append the model, it gives you a lod number, append the parent record, it gives you the parent number. Go to the new parrent, set lod 1 to the lod number it gave you and then set the parameters for distance, switches/dof. Use the parent 1-6 as examples of how it should look. When your done, and you have your list of parent numbers, open up the 3dckpt.dat file your F16 version of choice and replace the lod numbers with the new ones. Note, default is 1-6 but you will be replacing 1, 2, 3, 5 if I’m not mistaken. Then you have BOTH cockpits in your database.

I’m sorry for the really ignorant question, but what’s the difference between this cockpit and the original one? They look very similar to me.
-
Look very solid and clear thanks for your all work. I 'm gonna try it.
-
Thanks for the time and effort what you put in this mod!!
Awesome mod!! -
Hello !
Just tested and… approuved !
Nice Work ! A great thanks !but just some few remarks ;
-In the tutorial, nothing says that you have to extract the data files to bms folder.-For the M button, it is to bad that you had to click left OR right if you want to go Tcn/Nav.
Normaly, this button “cycle” over the 4 modes. ( from NAV/ILS to TCN/ILS and so on )
-CID not parrallele to the course arrow (but already talked about that)Installation not easy, but with method and work-well, not impossible ^^
I just had to querrel with my extraction software to extract the new DATA in the right place. If you want to use to original cockpit and this one simultanously, you can make a copy of the original Data folder (named Data-copy) IN Falcon.32 folder (just next to the Data folder)
Then, you install this mod.
And if you want to re-use the original cockpit, just rename the customised Data folder in “Data-ccip” for exemple and “Data-copy” in “Data” !To present this mod, maybe you can use the following pictures
And if it can help you, 3 pictures of F16 MLU from BAF ( don’t know the version of upgrade ) but as you can see : EHSI but not anti-reflect panel -
Hi,
I have one little question: Would it be possible to have the knob at the RWR a little more visible?
The knob is only clearly visible if the suns shines directly on the RWR:
Thanks in advance.
PS: Flying this pit is a real pleasure

-In the tutorial, nothing says that you have to extract the data files to bms folder.
Thanks for it.
I’ll fix the document.-For the M button, it is to bad that you had to click left OR right if you want to go Tcn/Nav.
Normaly, this button “cycle” over the 4 modes. ( from NAV/ILS to TCN/ILS and so on )Yeah it should be, but I can’t inplement the function because of software specification.
-CID not parrallele to the course arrow (but already talked about that)
I’m sorry, but I can’t understand what are you talking about.
CDI was already fixed, and it seems parrallele with course arrow in your picture. To present this mod, maybe you can use the following pictures
And if it can help you, 3 pictures of F16 MLU from BAF ( don’t know the version of upgrade ) but as you can see : EHSI but not anti-reflect panelI appreciate it, thank you very much.

After doing the first the pahse of replacing lod 2, and says repeat this process, means that if we are replacing 3 and 5 we need to put 3 and 5 in normal or still drawing 2?
Im tired of using the backups because of the Crash of installing it wrong.
Salute
Also a Video with the instaling and not the “repeat the process” would be helpful, I cant get it to work, me and 10 more people.
-
Exactly. Enter 3 in Normal and replace the Lod with Lod file No. 3. Then back to CT Records, enter 5 in Normal and replace the Lod with file No. 5.
And don’t forget to copy the dss files into your objects directory.Regards
-
Thanks, in lod number 2, I dont see the same number as in the Tutorial, in the “1” at his right.
-
Thats right. No. 3 and 5 have different numbers again.
It wouldn’t make sense to have the same model for different items in the database. They would all look the same.
The cockpit is split into several models and for this mod you have to replace all of them.Regards
-
Would still be nice to see this implemented on the Block 40 too.

Some months ago, I received a request to create BAF MLU cockpit.
I modified some textures and models, and released it.But as you can see, it’s almost same as CCIP variant.
I didn’t replicate EWMU, EWPI and etc…So I didn’t release it for public.
Now, I release it for public that can accept the quality.
