SweetFX for BMS
-
The PrtScn (print screen) button does it for you already, built in BMS as well, so it actually takes 2 screenshots,
one is BMS’s default screenshot and path, and the other is the SweetFX screenshot into a different folder.
You can change the default key to capture SweetFX screenshots via the “injector.ini” file if you like to separate the origin of the capture.Hi ron533, thanks for your quick response!
Perhaps I was not clear enough, but I would like to capture a video from within BMS while the SweetF-post is running.
I tried i.e. Fraps but no SweetFX-post is being recorded by the application.Cheers.

I have a friend who’s Sweet FX keeps crashing. He has followed Ron steps to install Sweet FX. Falcon BMS is installed in “D” drive. Any help?

Could your friend please share some screendumps from his Falcon BMS folders or share where his SweetFX files are installed to?
-
Ho DeltamikeNL he hasn’t got any screendumps for sweetFX apart from the following

Works in every sim except BMS for me. I have tried several manual installs and the Sweetfx configurator install. It does absolutely nothing in BMS. No issues and no effects. Nothing at all.
-
EDIT: PLEASE first uninstall SweetFX Configurator and all other manual install of SweetFX!!
As far as I know the BMS install-directory should be in the root of C:\
My setup:
C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Bin*x86*
to copy:
1. d3d9.dll
2. dxgi.dll
3. dxgi.fx

Can’t you attach a debugger and check what fails? Maybe even get a proper stack trace. BMS graciously provides PDB files.

Tried it yet? Cheers

tried SweetFX and it reduces my frame rate by 8 or 9 FPS. I’ve followed Ron’s instructions, and used his text file. did the old toggle of scroll lock & pause break. When SweetFX is active, everything is jaggy and my eyes really hurt. Yep, I’ve turned off AA in BMS prior, and my CCC is set to use application settings.
my hardware: i5 with 8GB RAM, using an AMD 5770 vid, BMS is set for windows extraction to support my 2nd VGA monitor for the TM MFD’s. Primary display is a Samsung 24" LCD.

Yep, doesn’t do anything. Followed your instructions exactly. I must not be doing something wrong. Scroll Lock toggle does absolutely nothing.

I installed sweetfx as mentioned in the first post, but it´s only activated in the menu not in the 3d cokpit, then it is deactivated.
What can I do? -
Copy over the files to Data/ as well
-
It´s working now for me, I had to disable the multisampling option via the falcon menu.
Thanks so far sthalik, I did copy the certain files to the data folder -
For all:
here you can find a database for sweetfx settings (not especially for BMS, but you can try them as well in BMS):

Hello,
does anyone have good settings for SweetFX 1.5 (Falcon)?
Thank you very much
-
I like this one very much: http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/199/
But have in mind, that I do own a very good monitor, so I don´t need any saturated colour effects.
SweetFX as well as ENB is veeeryy (!!!) much about try and see yourself ,because it´s absoluteley depend on everyone´s graphics card and monitor(s)!

Have you tried your settings for BMS

Amazing! Here’s what I came up with in a few hours:

And one more for fun:
(these downsized jpg’s don’t do it justice)
It even makes the UI look a lot better.

I tried to use it but I’ve experienced two problems: a strange buzz coming from the monitor loudspeakers (gone off after SweetFX disinstallation) and when returning to Win7 desktop the mouse cursor has the shadow gone off, just for info… but the result within the game is fine, especially for the sky, can you consider it for 4.33 release?
-
i don’t want sweetfsx for 4.33 …. just too cartoonish … looks like you increased contrast, increased colour, and reduced a bit of Gamma … seriously, it looks like in a comic book .
