Playing around with the Gimp, that software is very powerfull, because if someone like me who never did skins before can do that 3 days after i first tried skinning, anyone can.

Hehe,
While I applaud your accomplishment in such a short time, I think it is a bit misleading to say skinning is easy. Remember, you are working on a canvas that has already been prepared for you by another artist.
The real challenge to skinning is preparing that canvas.

I agree with you, but donโt make me say what i did not say. I never said that skinning was easy, i just said that if can do some stuff with Gimp, anyone can if they have the will. I ma be giving the impression that i am over excited, but this is my own right, because i finally can or have the feeling i can do something for myself in BMS and do not have to constantly bother someone like Janhas to do specific skins. I do not have the capacity yet to produce something from scratch. If you look at what i did โฆi work without layers, i havenโt figured out how to use that option, every mistake i do i have to restart from the beginning. I 100% agree with your message, but to be honest it has the after taste of a little smack behind the head.

Pumpy is a wise guy, and certainly just wanted to remind what is not necessarily obvious for everyone.
Donโt take all the remarks as attacks. -

Pumpy is a wise guy,
What. So youโre calling me a wise guy?!!! (for non-native English language people, itโs kinda like saying someone is a smart-arse).
but to be honest it has the after taste of a little smack behind the head.
Sorry spooky,
As Buzzz mentioned, it was not intended in the negative, but rather as a realization that building a skin from the ground up is a very labor intensive task. Still, you are well on your way to getting there. -
I am sometimes a bit too much on the defensive, no excuse for that, but i had some weird experience with people in other areas regarding advices, but i am the one who apologizes. I really want to learn how to do things, when i look at what i did i am still not satisfied because it is not my work so to speak, eventually i will get there :). It is great to have the support from people like you, Buzz, Topolo ,Miam miam and all the others.

Latest little addition, the FS tail code was missing the belgian flag, i added it and i made the tail code more visible:
The flag looks a bit different than on the original work from Janhas, i redid the colour pixel per pixel and also redimensioned it, the flag is more thin on the real jet, this what i tried to reproduce here.

Hey Spooky,
One small detail that I found while upgrading some skins for my modded folder. The GBU-12 bomb casing has only one yellow stripe on it:
I have adjusted it to reflect this in my modded folder. The DDS number for the bomb casing is 1321.dds if you want to make the adjustment. Nice job on the LM version! Iโm looking forward to including the skin in my Balkans upgrade folder!!

Thanks a lot for the info mate, i really appreciate the intention and input

Looks pretty good for just a few days skinning.
Yes, bโy you need to not see every comment as an attack. Pumpy is one of the nicest fellas to work with. Heโs a real gentleman and I have never seen him post in a negative manner. He is truly a template for anyone posting on forums.
Get Photoshop and continue to learn skinning.

Thank you Bonedust :), will follow your advice.

Here i present some shots showing the evolution on the work on the belly, i changed the colour and marked a bit more some panels and made it more dirty, i also worked on the FS tail, colour, the upper part of the fuselage has been re-coloured too, but the dirty marks are more subtle (we also have clean F-16โs in Belgium ). The GBu-12 with the LM kit, as you can see the colour has been reworked, it was to light grey according to my eye. All WIP, the weapon skins for the AIM-120 and AIM-9 are available for who wants them.
Janhas and BMS team gave me the right to release my reskinning attempts for their respective models, credits to them, and thank you for letting me train my hand on them.

GBU-12 evolution (still not happy with it)
