Falcon MFD Software for android tablets
-
thanks
But i did not know
why only 5-10 people use that programNot sure, I know there is an app for apples that does something similar. I think a lot of people probably use touch screens or mfd extractor and touch mfdās. I donāt have a lot of time to fly falcon so I didnāt want to spend the money to go that route. The one thing held me back from flying was that it was so tough to click in the 3d cockpit especially the ICP and MFDs, your app is perfect for making flying easier without having to spend a lot on a touch screen. Also I donāt really see any frame rate hit. It would also be great for new simmers that are trying to get into BMS. One thing you might want to do is make and English version of the server program, It took me a while to get it working because Turkish is not my language. Once I got it working I understand how easy it is to set up and use. I would give it a little time, you did a great job.
For others that have an android tablet this is a great tool. In a nutshell it allows you to control your MFDās and ICP along with several other key controls for your tablet. I think one of the best things about it is that it Displays whats in the MFD and ICP to your tablet. So for example if your setting up say a data link you can do it directly from the tablet because the app MFD and ICP screens display whats in the sims MFD and ICP displays. There is no need to take your eyes off the tablet because the app displays are showing whats in the sim displays. Also there is no need to use a 3rd party program like air display and mfd extractor to see the data on the tablet, the server program does all that for you. That sold me on it. But there are also other great features, you can see you Total Fuel, RPM Fuel Flow, Flare/Chaff Count and there is a great map feature that allow you to see where you are on the map along with the option to click airports near you for charts, auto pilot controls are also helpful. Great App!

Thank you for the compliments.
Next time i will publish english version (may be next week) -
I downloaded the 10" app for my android. This app does not give me full screen in the horizontal position. What is the difference between the 10" vs 10" fixable? Should I download the 10" fixable to get full screen? Which server file should I download?
-
10" fixable is downsized.
you can use that version 7" or smaller
if you want you can use Falcon MFD Android File (1280 X 800) version -
Thank you for the compliments.
Next time i will publish english version (may be next week)That would be very helpful for new users.

Almost there. OSB buttons work. However, the MFDs have no display. Did I miss a step?
-
Select the MFD buttons in the app, they should turn blue, also select the flight data button to get the fuel and other things to show.
-
I am able to change the MFDs. But the MFDs have no display on themā¦just the OSB buttons work.

you should change falcon bms.cfg file as
set g_bExportRTTTextures 1 // This enables the shared texture memory area for HUD/MFDs/HMS/RWR/DED/PFL. This is independent from BMS external window usage! -

Is there a sequence by which the software should be loaded (i.e, bring sim up first, then app). All of a sudden the app does not recognize sim. I may have to completely shutdown and restartā¦your thoughts.

Dracfalcon,
I have it already set up but here is the process I go through. When I was trying to get it set up if I left the test screens open it wouldnāt work correctly. Maybe try these steps and not do any of the testing buttons.
Open server
Select system XP-Win 7 or 8
Press basalt (start)
Open app
Press Left or Right MFD in the app (should highlight blue in the app and green in the server)
Start BMS and fly
Select Flight Data
All should be working at this point -

I do not see where you confirm (or were asked to confirm) that extraction is on in configuration/settings hardware/cockpit displays to external windows.
I have no idea if needs to be on for this android app but . . . .
