@A.S:
In that context, F4 is also a path of learning, improving and evolving …therefore progress and fun
Hope we all never stop :dhorse: for the fun of it!!

Beauty doesn´t seek attention
SIGH……no attention mentioned, M8…
Get on with it and help others if we can in their endeavours……KISS>
Concept is lost again, I believe.
Molnies work is his and he has spent YEARS on it. Not bad IMHO…Demer

Back to topic,
Nice work my Hungarian friend, keep at it.
Proves interesting for “The War” in BMS!

I just checked the TOW on videos. The missile will be smokeless, I change the necessary data.
-
Iron Fortess campaign is done, one step closer to the main release.
-
Finally tried your mod. Looks very good, IR missiles behavious seems more coherent. Hope some of your work will be considered for 4.33 DB.

Yesterday I had a long discussion with A.S. The conclusuion and result of our meeting was that his Red Flag theater map upgrades (PAK, road map, which make so unique and so strong the RF campaign) can be imported and applied for my theater. Today I will try to import his magnificent works. If the method work I can save time what he put into his theater, about 6 months (!), while likely the adaptation to new files requires only some hour of work on my side while I can keep all of my work concerning on OOB of campaign. With his magnificent work the campaign will be much more fluid and comprehensive.

You are welcome. There might be few things to check afterwards…but of course…merging things is possible.
As you only made database changes to units… i think it would even be possible to take my whole campaign folder…and import your units and use your database.
You can even use my I:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\Add-On REDFLAG\Terrdata\korea folder…as it includes the new elevations and rest… -
Glad to see cooperation between modders, keep it up guys!
-
It seems to me that adapation of A.S stuff was successful on two finished campaigns, only very small adjusments are required in OOB.
-
cool if things work out for you

For Iron Fortess I had to change manually the ownership of hundreds of objetives and the BMS4 reacted after the changes as I expected, detected the change of ownership of campaign goals and also the ATO put in a different location of offensive and generated different flights. The first two autosave were CTD free, all squadrons are selectable and AC fly missions. A bit different when I used original PAK, but the difference is not siginficant, the ATO behavior is mostly what I expected. :bdance:
-
I am not sure if you used my mission.dat file (main ATO controlling element). If you did, you might wanna re-check the roles of you squadrons in the database.
If you need help to syncronize things …let me know. -
No, I did not used because I do not understand how it works, but we can talk about later. Currently talking is painful to me, I had a teeth removal yesterday.
I even did not have copied the Falcon4.aii but I noticed something, you set exacty the same new supply values as me. (As I can judge you also set very different objective supply values .)
There are many lines in this files which got attention from me but I do not know what they do. For ex. this.I saw one line which LowAltitudeCutoff = 4000
Likely it will wort to use your but I have to know at least generally what were changed and why. In your RF theater there is only one campaign, but in my theater Iron Fortress has very different initial territory setup which maybe shall be considered for the aii file.
My another goal is change somehow the default bomb release alt. Long time ago in FF the cfg determined a general behavior and each AC dat files contained lines, but in BMS4 these lines are missing. Dos your changes has effect on this area too? In 3D world (and 2D world too if possible) the bombing accuracy and the potential of AAA and MANPAD should be represented by that AI controlled AI should bomb much lower than currently, in RL these AC would operated withing the range of SHORAD/MANPAD. Most of older AC in RL had much weaker bombing accuracy from med alt as the code currently provide for AI (or the player). Currently the only way to do this let only UKB type FAB bombs on J-5/J-6/Q-5/Su-7/H-5 category which force them release at low, but if they carry CBU they use them from too high alt… —> Out of MANPAD/SHORAD/AAA zone and even the units moving slower the accuracy and area coverage of CBUs many times are too weak.

flacon4.aii is a gloabal file for all the theaters (if you have more than one).
The rest i would have to look into an pm you back (been a while).
