Mission Commander beta release

I sent save0 to you, but in fact it’s the original save0 of KTO campaign (found in SAVE folder) of BMS 4.32.7.
I checked again just to be sure and it still isn’t recognized as a SAVEX.CAM file
Thanks Falkas!EDIT: I forgot to tell you also that on:
Units->Advanced options
and I have “Fix All Squadron Roster” available but “Auto Fix All Squadrons” and “Resupply All Squadrons” greyed out
this happens on every file I open
don’t know if this helps youEDIT2: I use Win7 64 bit and MC 0.3.10.0
Hi Soul_IT,
Just got your email.
Give me a hour or so and I’ll have an answer for you.Gr Falcas

Also there is this thing wich isn’t a real issue but anyway:
When I go into:
Units -> Advanced Options
I find “Export Units CVS” but I think (correct me if I’m wrong) that the correct extension (like TacEdit exported objects) is .csv (comma separated values)
Also when I click on “Export Units CVS” MC creates a file with the extension “.cvs” but other apps usually wants “.csv” to open them.
Obviously this isn’t a real issue and I can open them correctly, it’s only a detail and maybe I’m wrong!Last I cannot find a way to import a “unitfile.csv” created by MC into MC, is it possible right now or maybe is it a planned feature?
Thanks again -

Edit: Most probably its not going to be added in the end anyway.

Hi Redfalcon
Are you serious?
If you find problems the i would urge you to spend some time to report it in a structured way?
Up to now you have posted nothing regarding MC.
Coming out of the closet with: Nice, but no thanks is not helping MC nor the community ( or you i would say )In the end its your choice what you use.
Snowman
Well Snowman I downloaded latest version and all seems to be ok so far with my campaign edits, this is good!, if I find any bugs I’ll be back.

Thanks! happy to hear this !

Can adding new battalions only be done before the start of the campaign?
Because adding them via e.g. save0.cam seems to be no problem,
but when I try to add them in e.g. the second day of the campaign via the latest .cam-save,
this consistently crashes BMS (never in the UI, but always either before or after going into the 3D world).
But on the other hand: changing the status (repaired/damaged/…) of structures or reinforcing battalions seems to work at all times. What am I doing wrong? Or is this normal (in which case: can it be solved/worked around?)?
-
Adding a objective and leaving the OCD ID unchanged (0) raises an exception (warkaround not to loose unsaved changes in the meantime -> save, fix OCD id with tacedit)

No Problems here. Adding a battalion in a campaign/TE (not savex.cam) is possible for a long time already.
Just add a battalion at the place you want throught the map.Because adding them via e.g. save0.cam seems to be no problem,
but when I try to add them in e.g. the second day of the campaign via the latest .cam-save,

I don’t have this at all??? So what is it exactly what you are doing to reproduce this?

@Akbar:
Adding a objective and leaving the OCD ID unchanged (0) raises an exception (warkaround not to loose unsaved changes in the meantime -> save, fix OCD id with tacedit)
Is this an answer to justaonternoods question about adding battalions??? As you are talking about Objectives.
What version are you using to add objective and getting an excepition? As all tests are ok and working fine.
Gr Falcas

Sorry Falcas, hadn’t seen your answer.
Is this an answer to justaonternoods question about adding battalions??? As you are talking about Objectives.
No. It was just a standalone report of the issue. No answer to previous post(s) intended.
Version 0.3.10.0. Steps to reproduce:
1. Default Korea-BMS theater, open save0.cam (Happens with any other as well for me)
2. Objectives -> Add objective
3. Just click Appy. Or input whatever convenient data but don’t select objective type or input OCD ID (thus leaving the default 0). Or input any number less than 100 for the shake of it.
4. Exception raised after clicking Apply due to ct id < 0[...] ************** Exception Text ************** System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Index was outside the bounds of the array. at MissionCommander.fclsMain.FillObjectives() at MissionCommander.fclsMain.AddObjective() [...]

Not inserting a OCD… shouldn’t do that
Thanks for the heads up, I’ll block it off.Gr Falcas

Gr Falcas
Well, apparently now I can’t anymore either… I think it might have something to do with CPU-Control (the program),
because without it, I have no problems with MC.
So, thanks for MC and the reply. -

5. Units Tab. Packages. Double click on a package. Double click on a flight gives: Error in STPTs. I press OK I don’t see the STPTs
In general I can’t edit any mission in our theater.

Theater e-HAF 320VFW Aegean v2.1.1
There is no downlink Aegean 2.0 or 2.11 on the site…
Errors:
1. Opening MC gives: File not found: C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\Add-On Aegean\Campaign\Aegean\KOREA.idx
If you get this, all the rest of what you reported has to do with it. As it can’t find the file where the text/names are stored.
I bet the directory name for the install is something in the oder of data/addon - Aegean 2.1.1Gr Falcas
-
well this is a custom moded version of the Aegean for my squad.
The directory and files naming is exactly as Aegean no alteration. The 2.1.1 is just virtual naming to distinguish the version.
With MC 0.3.9.0 I get zero errors.

Sure there is a difference. 0.3.10.0 code has changed. Now has some extra check are added to prevent this actually
Did you have the Aegean theater selected in your BMS install?
How did you open the mission file? Meaning did you open MC and use the “Open File” button?Gr Falcas

On top of that… Just tried 0.3.10.0 with Aegean1.1 (including hotfix 1.2) and that works fine

Hello, with Mix on Israel, when I select Campaign / Dates / Shift Times and I try to use - 0, 00:30:00 then I click to Go. I receive the following:

And, one more question. It’s possible to add the option to modify the Battalions Time (Arrive and Depart)???

yes Open File Button. Yes Aegean is the selected theater. But in setup.ini last line says LastTheatre=Korea
Hmmm Seems I have some Registry problems… Benchmarksims entry was not there at all… I added it.
Sorry couldn’t imagine that…
will switch to my flying setup (as now I’m on my dev setup) and test again… sorry for the trouble… will report back.

Don’t worry, I am smoothing things out in this area anyway. I’ll get you an update today.
