Any Super Tucano WIP mod?
-
Yes, the Tucano has been retired in the Brazilian Air Force too. Are being replaced by modern Super Tucanos.
Even our Smoke Squadron is undergoing modernization and already has eight Super Tucanos which will become part of the presentations at the end of 2013 as below.IMO, prettier than PC-9 … but was a crap to fly (very heavy nose)
We had Tucano in FAF, it has been retired two years ago.

Great idea but if you really want to train you must model the Pilatus PC-21
That’s my love

Sorry for ressurecting this thread, but can BMS more or less simulate a turboprop airplane? Having the Super Tucano can be great fun, and carrying FLIR, modern guided weapons and Python missiles is for sure a nice platform. BTW there are tools that currently let any mission maker create COIN scenarios where the Super Tucano will bright!
Think in a scenario, Both Koreas reunited, but comunism loving guerrillas plague the country. The small Super Tucano will clean the forests of Korea of such threat.

Have been thinking in this, and will like to officially ask a falcon 4 BMS modder if the engine and FM can be replicated in game.
Thanks.

So yes! We have turboprops on F4 BMS, here’s the one I found:
Is fun to fly low and slow, and is very fun to attack infantry formations. It even came with proper turboprop sound (not possible to hear it while in cabin, no idea of why). But this version can’t load a FLIR even if the FLIR is itself represented under the nose as in the real aircraft (see the pic).
So a Super Tucano is doable for BMS. (even the cockpit is similar to the Viper one). Wish someone can give a go to the 3d model for this really beautiful plane!! (I will provide any info needed, including weapon selection)

I will try to get better pics so a 3d model can be created.

While I don’t like that light A-planes, the cockpit and electronics integration looks brilliant. Using high tech (=modern electronics) where it is the best. Cheap and effective.
Another starting point for this kind of mod could be A-10. Since it seems a bit similar role, and has been extensively modeled. Of course not as similar as the FAC plane. But another angle nevertheless.

I’d love to fly a prop with the right flight model in BMS

That’s a pretty slick looking cockpit for a small turboprop. It even has a mini-DED!

Guys the Super Tucano is a outstanding COIN aircraft, capable of delivering advanced munitions and staying on combat area for hours. It won the LAAS program TWO TIMES!! and I’m sure it can be great fun having one in BMS. It will be challenging as COIN airplane and also as a Multiplayer FAC directing fast jets. And is a really really beautiful airplane. Isn’t it??

Ok, I have the 3d model. Who I need to contact in order to get this little bird added into the sim?

IS the model of your creation, or if don’t, Do you have a written permission from the original creator to use and share it ( if this is the case) with the community?
I can help you, if yourself wish to add it into the database (animations, etc)
Just let me know.

I have written permission from the author in order to use it in BMS. (not only for me but FOR ALL THE BMS COMMUNITY) he’s a game 3d modeller and I have worked with him before.
What I don’t know is how to add it or “animations, etc”

Not easy, but not impossible. Contact me at 7Pm New York time more or less on Falcon online teamspeak, and I will give some informations you need in order to start it…

Emh, sorry, but I have a small daughter and TS is currently forbidden at home. lol

Any chance of solving this trough PM or trough here?
BTW my post number 100th.

Ok, I will think about something easy

Rgr, looking forward to see what you can sort. BTW congratulations to brazilian aircraft industries by the range of great planes they have.
