New NVIDIA drivers

WOW a 3D certified system, that’s very nice! Do you normally use 3D Vision in BMS? What drivers have you been using after 327.23 (not .33) and prior to 337.88 that were stable for all your app and enabled you to use BMS? There have been several WHQL releases since 327.23.
~ Cheers
Yes I use 3D in all my sims it is very immersive… I have tried all the whgl releases since 327.23 and none have worked mostly with the triplescreen setup… These newest drivers worked fine but when I have 3D Enabled in NCP BMS will Lock the PC up and I have to do a hardreboot…
BMS worked fine when I turned off Stereoscopic in NCP but then I don’t have 3D

Sampled the 337.88 driver this morning, and BMS looks good, (zero-stuttering) as long as “Focus Shadows” are turned OFF; guess I’ll have to live without my Falcon’s shadow on the ground until there’s a fix.
Used the Nvidia Display Driver Uninstaller to rid my drive of the 306.97, and installed only the 337.88 driver and PhysX, selecting the “clean-install” option in the Nvidia installer.i5 4670K OC’ed to 4.2GHz
8GB pc-1333
GTX 650ti 1GB
Windows 8.1.1 (super-clean and streamlined OS-install)Cheers, and good hunting!

Thanks for your feedback and how-did-I-install notes, always a good read and a great direction for others!

SLI that 650 and you can have your shadows back stutter free. AFR2 cures the focus shadow stutters.

Or you could get a Radeon R9 280x cheap as chips and forget this Nvidia stuff, fitted it today, goodbye Nvidia.;)

So you switched to AMD? Dare Devil!
-
Well switching doesn’t mean that cause it works sweet for u will do and for the rest. Wish it was that easy and simple… and maybe less costly…

Cheap? It’s still 300$+
-
You can get cheaper than that surely?, hey anyway GTX 570 was 82c on Heaven Benchmark, I always thought that card ran too high even with fans cranked up, this 280 runs at 62c on most games and 65c with Heaven, has double fans but with stock card settings and v-sync on in BMS it runs just fine, I’ll see how it goes over next few weeks but hassle free so far.

I do not expect any big difference compared to 337.88.Anything better than a 6xx series cards needs updating. IMO GK105, GK104, GK103 etc.
Another update to consider among the Nvidia cards, is the BIOS ver. on the card.
Lots of cards were shipped with inadequate BIOS versions. Check yours.

****EDIT I’ll leave my original up here but I joined a Mirage 2000D flight in progress after my “fix” and it was smooth as silk all 300 miles to the target, I drop 2 Mk-82s and 4 Belugas on an enemy column and had slight stutters from the explosions and smoke and then all was stutter free again. I was fine all the 350 miles back to home plate, landing with a motor running and 000 on the fuel meter. However, once I was inside 5 miles to homeplate and could see it in my HUD the stutters came back, and remained. Funny thing is if I start a flight it retains the stutters the whole flight, but if I start in the air I’m good until I get back to the airport. I wonder what code is triggered returning to an airbase. this is all in Balkans with the new textures/terrain and I haven’t tested Korea yet.
THINK I GOT A STUTTER FIX ALL!!!
I just upgraded to an NVidia 660ti from and AMD HD 6950 2gb and the stutters in falcon on my jet only were immediate and painful. I could switch views to any other jet or object and the frames would be fine. But my cockpit and external views of my jet had horrible stutters. I researched and found one person able to eliminate stutters by reinstalling the drivers without the Nvidia experience driver. Instead of wiping and reinstalling the drivers- I just uninstalled the drivers from Windows control panel and POOF no more stutters!!
Try the following:
Uninstall the NVidia experience driver
Unistall the 3d vision and 3d vision controller drivers(unless you play wearing 3d glasses-I don’t so this driver is complete excess)
uninstall the HDMI audio driver( I have a dedicated sound card and don’t use the HDMI audio on my graphics card)after you uninstall the 3d drivers it will ask for a restart- do so and try it! Stutters gone! In Balkans, over any city, with an external LCD(Lilliput).
I hope this works for everyone!

GTX 660, and it is now worse! Thanks for the heads up, but didn’t work for me at all! I am experiencing serious sluttering in Korean theater now! Even with new tiles, all ran smoothly before, but I don’t know what I did, but I am experiencing sluttering in every theater now! Gotta roll back.

Sorry, was hoping I found something useful.

Stutter free, and 3GB VRAM? What and how many monitors are you pushing? Thanks!

There are a ton of different micro stutter fixes - depends on system type/ state, and Mods you may have (e.g. hi res terrain)
I find switching off vertical sync was the best which gives lower frame times - and using the NVIDIA driver options - but probably only works on higher end hardware because I run over 100fps a lot of the time (you get some tearing).

Yup. Switching OFF vertical sync and focus shadow seem to boost frame rates. I had 60-70 when not on bases, but now I can hardly get higher than 40 and it drops to 20 while taxiing on the ground.
My specs:
i7-3770 @ 3.40 GHz
16 GB RAM
GeForce GTX 660 (340.52)
Running on Windows 7 64-bits -
vsync on, focus shadows on, everything maxed out and never under 60 fps and no stutters. 60-100+ with vsync off. SLI AFR2 does this for me. I think it is different for different systems. You just have to try stuff to see what works on your system.
