Yep, just having fun with you Sir with the infamous compressor stall issue on the A/B models.
Bs didn’t have compresser stalls, they had the same awesome engine as the F-14D and the F-16 block 30/40/50, albeit “navalised” and fitted to the F-14 frame. The Compressor stall was avoided if you left the engines in full AB for ACM, but it was a crappy motor for the F-14. Great motor for the F-111, as any Vark driver will tell you.

But no F-111 pilot will admit to being outrun by F-14s at low level, which was apparently the case. A former F-14 pilot told me that at an airshow in AZ - he was flying the F/A-18F at the time.
