Red Dog's Chart tutorial, p.16 Runway ?

On page 15 of his chart tutorial Red Dog shows how to center the CDI for rwy 11. His diagram on page 16 shows the Amendola departure chart for rwy 11. On page 16, however, he says we’re ready to take off on rwy 29. Is that right? It seems to me it should be rwy 11 and make a right turn to hdg 295, not hdg 310 because the change in radials from R-315 to R-310 is 5°. I say hdg 295 because that would put me on R-310 according to Amendola departure instructions for the diagram in the tutorial on page 16. Here’s the picture as I see it:
I’m learning but I can tell that a lot of hard work went into this tutorial. Thanks a lot for that. Should Red Dog have said rwy 11 and hdg 295?

i’ll check mate

If runway 11 in use, departure heading is 110.

On page 15 of his chart tutorial Red Dog shows how to center the CDI for rwy 11.
here’s what the full text says:
The picture above was taken on the threshold of Amendola runway 11. Let’s centre the CDI to check the radial we are on:
We are on R-135 (reciprocal is R-315°)
Knowing that information, you know you are somewhere on a line originating at the station and extending on the 135° direction. The DME indication gives you the distance to the station, fixing the point on that imaginary line where you exactly are.it’s the above that is confusing. its is correctly referencing the picture above (not the one you refer to - which is the one below )
the picture above is the one on page 14 (that one has the AC sitting on threshold rwy 11)
In the picture on page 15 (the one below the text), i am on runway 29 (getting ready for what’s explained on page 16)
I agree it’s confusing, sorry about that. it must have happened during the text formatting and slipped through my second read. His diagram on page 16 shows the Amendola departure chart for rwy 11.
the diagram on page 16 is the departure for rwy 29
On page 16, however, he says we’re ready to take off on rwy 29. Is that right?
Yes
the full text
We have to intercept R-035° outbound Amendola tacan. We are on the ground, ready to take-off on RWY 29 and once airborne, we will make a right turn to heading 310° as the procedure implies. Once we flew away a little from the airbase, we will make a large 180° to the right and attack the radial with a 90° angle and see what happens on point 1, 2 and 3. The HSI is in tacan mode, radial set to 035° and we are rolling on the runway.
Up to the right turn to 310° (offset 20° right) we’re following the departure.
but rather than continuing the SID the tutorial explains how to intercept a radial and will start to demonstrate what happens when you cross at 90° (demonstrate what you shouldn’t do )
so for the benefit of the example, we quit the SID and turn RIGHT to gain separation from the tacan and we will cross the selected radial (035) as the 3 F16 pictured on the drawing.the idea here is not to demonstrate the SID yet, but to emphasize the steps to intercept any radial.
Since i’m lazy i didn’t create a graphic just for that example, but took one of the existing ones: amendola rwy 29 departureI hope that makes it a bit clearer to you, if not feel free to ask for more précisions

Now that you made it shamefully obvious:wfish:, it is as easy to understand as your original tutorial should have been to me. Thanks again.

My practice intercepting radials is getting better after studying your chart tutorial, especially your clarification that the picture on page 15 was for centering the radial on rwy 29 for course 135, not for the picture on the bottom of page 14, radial 90 on rwy 11. But going back to the picture on the bottom of page 14, the one that has the AC at Amendola sitting on threshold rwy 11, I wonder how you got that picture;). Here’s yours and mine:

balkan wasn’t the same when I wrote that tutorial
it’s perfectly possible that nowaday balkan does not have the same runways and tacan antrenna localisation -

Whew!, to sum up and conclude pages 14 and 15. Thanks again for helping me find the Amendola charts, for making me realize that runways can change, to realize that the picture on page 15 depicting centering CDI is not a follow-up to the picture on the bottom of page 14, and for making me pay attention to the difference between above and below.:D
