Ice,
That’s because you most probably installed RF RP6 on top of a previously modded BMS database install, meaning you’re using stock F-16 models in RF combined with texture maps for Janhas’s LVN2 models.
What happens is that you have to install Red Flag over a stock BMS install, unmodded, because the Red Flag installer will copy your Data folder. If you’re installing Red Flag over a modded BMS install, i.e. LVN2 models, CCIP pits, it will be porked.
Best guy to clarify that is A.S, I think.
Anyway, same happened to me the 1st time I installed RF, but now I managed to “repair” things and everything’s fine.
If you like, I can give you the steps I took in order to make RF “compatible” with your previously modded install.
Cheers

Too much honor Red Dog. Wouldn’t call it wild modding.
Default Falcon, copy/past with Rthorflech M3.0 with a taste of RED FLAG RP6 v4 R1. Nothing more. Quite easy really.
And with some renaming I am back to good old default BMS.@ Nuno Santos.
Thanks for the offer Nuno Santos but I’ll manage.Cheers,

For those who have the red flag theater, you do not have to re-install BMS if you have the modded folder installed. Simply rename the M3.0 folder and replace with the default objects folder from the backup made before you installed M3.0.

Can´t replicate that bug, please elaborate more in detail. At best - no other foreign mods with FO theaters.
My best bet is - as Nuno Santos mentions above, that you used other texture-mods in the KoreaObj folder, which were then inherited into your Add-on Redfalg install - as RF copy/pastes them from there - hence the texture bug below the canopy.Wild modding to it’s maximum
@Red Dog:
From my point of view i.e, the stock BMS KTO theater is extremly poor designed in terms of theater AND campaign creation. It serves as an universal template theater at best (no offense).
Although stable, there are alot of “wrongs” within, which i don´t even want to list, nor dig out of the graves tbh. Those were burried with facepalms in the past. Nevertheless, i have been told, that at the time of its creation (4-5 years back i guess), there were no DB nor Campaign experts in the team, so i don´t blame anyone. Alot time passed and things evolved regards till then.
At a time i hoped, after spending soo much time and putting truly solid work into RF, that some BMS devs might see it “under the hood”, but then i realized, that many of you guys did never
even try the Redflag theater (or any other FO theater for that matter), simply due to the fact, that most of you don´t even have or had 4.32 installed anymore for a long time (doh - 4.33).Long story short, don´t underestimate “outsiders” nor see the word “mod” as a downgrading classification. BMS itself is a “mod” of previous versions relatively spoken.
There are some really smart non-bms-dev-team guys out there, which are truly very skilled and “F4-intelligent” in the creation of goodies for BMS.
Not everything what is “mod” or “add-on” is consequently “junk”.Happy new year.

Hi A.S.,
I will let Red Dog speak for himself, but IMO, Red Dog makes no such assertion. From what I can gather through the various postings by the Devs on this forum, the underlying message is for modders to adhere to the standards and guidelines that BMS has carefully considered and posted.
To briefly recap and restate BMS’ guidelines (from my perspective and in my humble opinion):
1. BMS encourages modding that benefits the community at large (yes, it says so in the F.A.Q. section of this very site); HOWEVER, this does not mean BMS will support the mod (though they will consider doing so).
2. Do not modify or distribute any 3D model, sound, campaign, data and configuration file, documentation, etc. from the BMS add-on without having first secured permission from the creator/creators.
3. If you want to charge for a mod, BMS will not support it; however, BMS will not prevent you from doing so as long as you have the Intellectual Property rights to the materials you are selling.
4. If you want BMS to consider using your 3d models, please try to follow the guidelines as outlined here: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?7220-Modelling-Organisation&p=87541&viewfull=1#post87541Again, the above is my interpretation and not necessarily the views of BMS.

The Guidelines are clear and FO respects them.
I am glad, if no such assertions or attitudes are present, although it might sound or appear as such in few cases sometimes.cheers

Maybe I did something wrong but after I installed the package , the F-16AM that I normally fly carry’s now a F-18 type centreline tank (shape colour and stencils)

All,
The Custom Modded folder thread has been removed at this time. I will be reviewing this folder and begin a 2015 re-build. It has come to my attention that there are a couple of mods that I have included, that were NOT the works of those who claim them. This has caused an issue with my ability to supply a fully compatible upgrade option to the base BMS install. So to begin again a new….I will be creating yet another Custom modded folder from scratch. Any works that have not be fully vetted will not be included, this is the second time I have to do this due to people presenting works that are not their own or do not have permission to use.
