LAN not working
-
What is the router make and model # ?
-
It’s a Sitecom WL-586, the one with only one lan port. But I use it only wireless.

Please post a screenshot of the “Wireless Settings > Advanced” and “Security” tabs from the router.

I will this evening when I will be at home. Thank you.

I suspect your WLAN router prevents wireless devices from communicating with each other on the internal network.

hoover, do you know if there is a setting for this or maybe I shall change my router again?

This was my first assumption as well, however nothing in the documentation mentions this feature. Is there a reason the the server hosting the game cannot be wired, and the client on wireless only? Wireless is a shared medium, just like a hub, so having one host wired would help a lot with the contention (that you may be having).

Sorry, it’s not clear what you are saying. I just want to run MFDExtractor and the android ICP application, but my devices cannot see each others. Hope it’s more clear.

I mean, it’s better to have the server/Falcon PC connected to the wired port, and have only the tablet wireless.

Thanks to all. I have a new modem-router (ASUS DSL-N14U) and after the three minutes setup I have my WLAN perfectly working.
So the problem resides in the old modem. No need to investigate further.
Thank you mates!! -
Glad to hear you got it working, roccio. Sorry I couldn’t provide more details about where to look, I’m using a FritzBox! for my internal network and it has the option of firewalling wlan devices from each other (I even think it’s the default setting nowadays but I’m not sure).
Cheers, Uwe

Thank you hoover, but I think that the problem was caused by the first change of the modem. The first one and the second had the same SSID, so maybe my devices connectoed correctly to that network, but in a “strange” way. Just a tought!
