Hello guys, I’M trying to figure out how to reskin the BMS UI, I used F4restool to extract the images but cannot figure out how to repack them to work in BMS. The pack option isnt working with f4restool. I probaly just dont know what im doing. Can someone point me in the right direction to the information or quickly explain how to do it here. Thanks guys.

What’s the problem?
-UnPack
-repaint
-Pack
You have to keep the same name, file type (TGA?), Resolution, colors etc. Replace and repack. -
The pack option isnt working with f4restool.
Is the tool failing or is the sim crashing on load?
If the latter, you probably saved in the wrong format and/or did not mirror the changes of any file name changes on the resource list file in the same directory.
On a side note, a good portion of the main UI pages are composed of several images combined to make 1 page that must be aligned pixel perfect as referenced in the UI script files for the page in question.

I must not be doing this correctly then.
1. Unpack the IDX target to the workpath .
2. paint new image
3. pack the workpath back to the IDX target.
4. Open falcon and no changes were made.Im missing a step here somewhere
For instance i’m trying to change the campaign map as a test. After extracting the image all i did was invert the image and export back to the orginal name .tga file and try to repack . No changes were made

Be sure you are editing the correct resource from the right theater….
1. Unpack the IDX target to the workpath . - Looks OK
2. paint new image - If by paint you mean overwrite, then yes OK.
3. pack the workpath back to the IDX target. - Looks OK
4. Open falcon and no changes were made. - Oh well… -
I’m using F4Resmanager, and it’s really simple.
U don´t need to unpack / pack anything manually with this program, really.
Just have to open the desired .idx file in \Data\Art\resource\ and replace the image (es) you want, with attention to the dimensions and .tga format.

That program seems great for one off changes, but for bulk editing having the UI is a tad small…
That’s also a great program for editing the resource files, although it’s not really well suited to bulk edits / changes as each must be dragged and dropped…
Depends on the type of edits being performed… Then again my opinion would be slightly biased as I created F4Restool, but I find it easier when working with lots of UI files simultaneously.

Yesterday I installed ad played with This War of Mine game. (It is the best what I ever played I recommend to try everybody.) Problem is since I launch first the game the UI does not keep the original screen ratio it is distorted on my 1920x1080 screen, it fills the whole screen.
What should I change in Catalyst settings to avoid this issue?
