sobe:
You need to get one of the three fresh license keys of your account for this massive update.
If it says ‘freeware Version …’ then you still have the freeware version. you can not upgrade that freeware application. uninstall, log in at livrot.com and then download V1.150104 please.
Please do not hesitate to pm me when you still have issues.Livrot

Sorry for being so active
Version 1.150104 released.
- sound tab created under settings. all hotkeys can now have artificial voice feedback and some other things. finally the sound hotkey does something …
- ‘use profile settings’ from now on is only important for auto-load profiles. A new button to load a profile without settings has been created in the editor ‘Load CMD’
- full version: if ‘enable’ under settings / macro / temp speech phrases is checked the recognizer now starts immediately even with an empty commandlist. handy for temp macro sessions.
Enjoy!

Livrot
I uninstalled my version and reinstalled the latest version. Now it no longer prompts me for updates, but it still says freeware and didn’t ask me for a new license.I rolled back Livrot to 1.141128 and the freeware label no longer appears. However, when I attempt to update, the updater points to the freeware version so I held off updating for the moment.
OK. Once I logged into your site, I was able to download the regular update and not the freeware update. However, Firefox had a problem recognizing the file type as it downloaded the update with no file extension. Viper told me to add the zip extension and that did the trick so now I have the latest regular program. I also had issues with the file type when downloading the A10 and SU 25 profile but everything was ok for the two BMS profiles. Good grief.

sobe,
Mozilla users have to add .zip until I find out what is causing this. sorry.
Nobody can update using the app itself. The app can log you in when you still have the valid key. the key has changed. so it can not log you in and instead of taking you to the full version download it takes you on the homepage. So even if your credentials are stored in your old key. the website refuses them as they are coded with the old key. That is why you have to log in again for this version. Hope it helps others, too.
one other important thing:
- use low level hotkeys for use in 3D games !!!

V1.150107 released.
New settings: titlebar top/bottom and logo fade out optional.
The website has updated with some new texts and a lot of new screenshots to reflect the state of the actual full version.Read the first post and get one of the last 48 full version licenses for newcomers.
Old farts do have all the time in the world - if I have read their name anywhere that is.
So the enigmatic better wheel over here now. -
Hello again,
V1.150109 released. No need to get it as I am working on yet another improvement - maybe tomorrow it will be ready.
- low level hotkey recording simplification options created under settings / hotkey - low level and key combo is now preselected ( before: windows system hotkey )
- artificial voice can now be selected if you happen to have other microsoft voices installed
- in the full version enabling the temp macro speech phrases starts speech recognition even with an empty profile.
- a new page with update info regarding the video tutorials has been created on the website under support / update info
The new simplified low level hotkey recording is missing out on DX buttons. This will be fixed tomorrow.
Also I want to create another option to permit for low level key combinations to be recognized if the modifier keys are not pressed in the same order as recorded. Also tomorrow. So better wait for the next version before updating.
Livrot
-
new low level hotkey options:
- record one key/button only
- record key combination or button
- key combination mode
- left shift = right shift
please read the tooltips.
Low Level Hotkeys are now preselected.
regards,
Livrot -
- manual rewritten and updated
- some tooltips rewritten
- settings / log - created new slider for the amount of messages shown
regards,
Livrot -
- ‘use profile settings’ is no longer saved to or loaded from profiles. Makes no sense anymore after the changed functionality.
- ‘enable’ checkbox under settings / macro / ’ temporary macro speech phrases’ restarts the speech recognizer if changed.
- part 3 of the manual rewritten.
- Low Level Hotkey color changed for better readability on dark color themes
this should finish the update - update - update scenario for a while
a lot of cleaning up has been needed after all the new feature implementations and functionality changes.cheers Livrot
-
well …
one more for the road:
Version V1.150120 released:
- synonym display will no longer be turned on for auto-load profiles. It is only needed for editing and large profiles (3000 + commands) are ready 2 seconds earlier now.
- color schemes reviewed
- crash for too short text input under settings / colour (colour hexadecimal input) fixed.
- VAC profile converter: BREAK key is now translated as {Pause} - before: {Cancel}
-
another one for the road, come on
Version V1.150121 released:
- macro recorder records keypresses again - this got broken some versions ago.
- low level hotkey recording simplifications no longer record left and right mouse buttons. (see tooltips)
Livrot
-
Version V1.150122 full released.
Since the integration of relative mouse move recordings (some days ago) the macro recorder got broken. Fixed.

Hi
Sorry I haven’t given feedback before now, I haven’t had much time to play around with Livrot yet. Just to remind you, I’m running Win 8.1 x64 if that makes any difference.
Firstly, I find the install process quite confusing as it’s not clear to me where Livrot actually installs to and the desktop shortcut doesn’t give any clues as to where it lives. I’ve currently got two shortcuts, one for v1.150122 and the other for v1.150104 and I can have both running simultaneously, so it obviously doesn’t re-use the same folder when I install the newer version. It’s quite different to the way all the other programs I’ve installed work and I imagine if you could make it more similar then it would be less likely to confuse potential users (not just me!) and scare them off.
It also seems to have a habit of saying “Licence not found - did you make a backup?” every time I run it. I did make a backup and I can browse to that or just select the file in Apps/2.0/… which is where it defaults to when the explorer window opens but it will just ask me again next time I launch it.
v1.150122 has fixed what seems to be a bug in v1.150104 where the Confidence slider was initially working across the full range but after a couple of runs decided it’s minimum was going to be 70% and got stuck like that permanently, so I could only adjust it from 70%-100%. With v1.150122 I can adjust it from 0% to 100% and doesn’t go funny at all. Launching v1.150104 and it’s still stuck on 70% minimum but I won’t be using that any more. I’m not sure I’d ever want to set it lower than 70% anyway but nice to see that fixed nonetheless
Unfortunately when it comes to the actual voice recognition it doesn’t seem to do any better than VAC did for me. For example, with Confidence set to 80%, I say Flank Left and it hears Safe with a 98% confidence level! Decreasing my mic boost from 20db to 10db and saying various phrases such as Flank Left, Turn In and it hears Find Cover with 60-68% confidence level (so it rejects it), or Form Vee with a confidence level of 76% and also rejected.
I have spent at least an hour training Microsoft Voice Recognition but it hasn’t seemed to help much. When testing with VAC before, I did have a bit more luck with my PS3 Eye webcam mic than my headset one (even though I’m using a decent high quality capsule mic) but the drivers for that don’t allow for adjusting the volume or boost and being a bit far away on top of my monitor, it tended not to hear me quite a lot which made it just as frustrating. I’ve never seen it suggested in relation to setting up speech recognition for games but I guess if you test it with dictating into a word/text document and it doesn’t do very well, it’s not going to work very well with games either, so maybe that’s a useful check to do before wasting time creating profiles for games. I seem to recall seeing one program that substituted it’s own custom paragraphs to read when training the speech recognition with the Windows tool and those passages contained the words that were likely to be used for a particular game or flight sim, which makes sense as those are the words you need it to recognise.
One feature that VAC has that I haven’t seen in Livrot is the ability to teach it what a specific command sounds like. I never got round to testing that properly as it would obviously take quite a while to go through every command in a profile and teach it how it sounds when I say it but it might be the only way to make it work reliably.
As far as the UI goes, I’m afraid I have to say that Livrot is too scary looking and cluttered for my liking compared to VAC. Obviously it took me a while to learn how to use all of VAC’s features properly and it doesn’t have the Macro features that Livrot does, which account for a lot of the extra options but really the only thing I missed in VAC is Livrot’s Speech tab to allow me to set Confidence level and other settings to improve the quality of the speech recognition. VAC just feels more intuitive to configure and create profiles without baffling me with multiple tabs that I don’t understand but again I recognise that this is at least somewhat unavoidable when offering additional features, it’s just that I personally don’t think I need them, so prefer a more basic but more intuitive interface.
One example of where things can get confusing/frustrating is that Settings displays on top of the individual command parameters part of the editor, so I was selecting commands in the editor and wondering how on earth I was meant to edit them until by chance I clicked on Hide Settings and was then able to see the parameters for the command I had selected. Another example, when I right-click on a command and select Synonyms Show/Hide, I get a popup “Enable synonyms first”, with no clue how to do that. Eventually I see the Synonyms tab and enable them from there but really, if I’m asking to Show them then it seems obvious I want them to be enabled if that’s required before they can be shown, so it could just do that automatically without bothering me with popups and making me do it myself. When Hiding them again, it could ask if I want to also disable them or just leave me to do that later manually but that’s another reason why it’s generally better IMHO to avoid multiple tabs as much as possible and keep all the options in one place, where the user can clearly see what’s enabled or disabled.
Anyway, I don’t want to put anyone off who’s thinking of trying Livrot, particularly if they have complex needs which VAC doesn’t cater for, or they haven’t already tried VAC and so haven’t learnt a different way of doing things that might be hard to transfer to Livrot. I’m sure I’ll keep experimenting with it myself to see if I can get speech recognition working any better with it than VAC but I do seem to have issues getting any software to understand me properly, so I might just have to stop wasting my time and focus on building a cockpit with lots of buttons and switches instead

Thank you very much doveman for a long awaited feedback on LMC on Windows 8.
The application is quite young and needs this kind of feedback to round of the edges. Enabling synonyms on demand got noted.
You did not even read the manual. Updating is well explained and the license question would not occure then.
LMC is extremely flexible and this flexibility comes at a cost.
How can we fly an F-16 ? For Falcon we have to learn forever. For LMC I have been going through the effort of recording about 150 minutes of video tutorials three times.
I do not know how much time you have invested in LMC but you should maybe consider trying to learn how to use LMC or stick with VAC.
There are many things in LMC that you can not do with VAC. And I do not know of anything in VAC that LMC does not have.
I have 85 - 90 percent recognition results mostly using an old microsoft VX1000 webcam mic - but when I give the commands I try not to mumble.
Also in the settings/speech tab please pull the sliders over the black tringle mark points for reliable results. In a few days a new feature will be released: The macro editor.
LMC should be sold for 49 dollars (or more) to justify the pricing of VAC.
cheers

As I told in the last post: Read the manual first, please.
This was planned for some time now: For the next Version you only have to point to the backup once. LMC will copy the backup for you. The manual will be updated to reflect the simplified procedure.v1.150122 has fixed what seems to be a bug in v1.150104 where the Confidence slider was initially working across the full range but after a couple of runs decided it’s minimum was going to be 70% and got stuck like that permanently, so I could only adjust it from 70%-100%. Yes, this got fixed intentionally

In windows 7 next to the calculator and stuff there is a small sound recorder. Please record your voice and play it back to get an impression of the sound quality that you throw at VAC and LMC.
Also once you have a good sound:- get the microsoft personal trained voice profile update tool (bottom of livrot.com main page) and make a backup off your training effort so far.
- i do not know if it is possible but if you find a way: erase your actual voice profile and train again once or twice with the new good sound, also try to articulate clear like news speakers do, but do not speak slower than normal.
- set the sliders under settings / speech on the black triangle marks
and check again.

I never got round to testing that properly as it would obviously take quite a while to go through every command in a profile and teach it how it sounds when I say it but it might be the only way to make it work reliably.
I would like to know if it improves anything but the speaker itself

If you like the XP style and a non intuitive user interface with very small fonts without tooltips of VAC than you must be the exception that should fast speak up on the dwvac forum. Everyone else has complained about VACs way of creating commands. VAC is from 2006 I believe. It does cost 19 dollar. You got LMC for free. If you would have paid for LMC you might have given it some more effort.
VAC can send out key combinations and mouse buttons point. Thats the end of VACs feature list. Hey, I just thought you have found a real flaw in LMC. I thought that when you start LMC and hit settings and then go into the editor that you still see the settings.
Not true.
You have been in the editor and then you have clicked on the settings only to wonder where the editor controls have been gone??? Maybe you have been close to bedtime?
The ‘enable synonyms first mesage’ pop up is true and annoying and will get fixed.Anyway, I don’t want to put anyone off who’s thinking of trying Livrot, particularly if they have complex needs which VAC doesn’t cater for, or they haven’t already tried VAC and so haven’t learnt a different way of doing things that might be hard to transfer to Livrot. I am shure that you will come and stay on LMC. For example you can use the real world like radio talk with callsigns, ATC names adopted to every mission just by speaking the actual callsign and tower plus alternate into the microphone on the ramp. Also for a lot of desktop tasks LMC is a strong macro tool with enormous hotkey flexibilities. To be discovered.
Thanks for your time and honest words!
