X-55 Your experience?

I went from a F22/TQS to a Cougar to a x52Pro to a x65f. The x65f is bar far the best HOTAS I have ever used and the force sensing rocks for Falcon.
The x65f is hard to find now though, discontinued I suppose. Try eBay.
I got my hands on the x55 last week in the store. Didnt really like the stick play but you can swap in different springs. It also felt a little cheap. the x65 has alot of metal in it.
My 2 cents: get the x65f for Falcon.

Don’t know about the force sensing x65f - I like a moving stick, the x55 is right for it’s price (there was a sale recently I believe). It has a great combination of buttons, the sensors in the stick are good, the action is prone to needing lubrication. I still like it for its price.

I love my X-55. Some folks my experience ghosting issues. If that happens, get a powered USB hub.

X55 experience? get an X65f :headb:

I’ve had my X55 for just under a week now. My first impressions are positive. The convenience of the added switches on the throttle base and the numerous hat switches are a vast improvement over the X52. The throttle itself is very difficult to move at first even at the setting of least tension, but once it is moving it remains loose for a little bit. I hope this isn’t an issue in the future as I use it more. I have it connected to a powered USB port, so no ghosting issues to report. I have had zero difficulty creating my own key profile in BMS. I use the largest spring and find that it suits me perfectly - the smaller springs give the feeling of too much sensitivity.
The overall construction is impressive - it feels solid, though a bit on the lighter side. Not an issue in my case as I am bolting them into my pit shortly. One thing I did notice - if you use the rotaries on the throttle, ensure that they are at the zero position before loading the game to prevent issues in 4.32.
I have not tried the X65, and though I looked frequently for one, I was unable to find any. I do not feel at all that I’ve settled for the X55; I am pleased overall with it and it is a huge step up from the X52 for a very reasonable price.

I am new to BMS, but I’ve been flying FSX for years. I am having issues getting the program to read both the throttle and stick (X55). I can always get one or the other but not both. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if it is a common problem and already on the forum somewhere, please just let me know. I haven’t spent very much time reading through the forum threads yet.
Edit: Figured it out! New to set all my key assignments.
Sincerely,
Jason

Be a little more specific. What have you done thus far to setup your X-55 within the BMS setup tab?

The only thing I don’t like about the X-55 is the lack of an afterburner detent.
