I'm flying the wrong aircraft!

OK, my first query that my good friend Mr Google hasn’t been able to help me answer.
When I go into the training scenarios that include multiple aircraft (eg 18 AMRAAM, 19 Sparrow, 41 B Course graduation) it automatically defaults to the first aircraft in the list, which is usually the AWACS rather than the F16. Now whilst I’ve worked out how to select the aircraft to fly, is it possible to save a default selection? At the present I’m looking at a workaround of making a copy of the mission in question then deleting the AWACS aircraft so that only the F16 is there, hence making it the default choice.
Surely there’s got to be a better way of doing it than that? I’m guessing it’s something simple I’m missing.
Thanks

The ‘better’ way is to select your mission in the list, then click the jet you want to fly.
There is no ‘save’ function for this and deleting the AWACS, for example, is counter-productive … how are you going to get target info, for example. In other TE’s, that might mean deleting a tanker or multiple supporting flights (Escorts, SEAD, etc.).
The ‘select mission, select jet’ makes sense from the perspective of an auto-generated ATO in a campaign … how can the campaign engine know which mission you’ll want to fly next time if you ‘saved’ some mission/jet the last time?

when you oren a mission select the flight with f-16 and left click with your Mouse on the aircraft.

In Configuration on the BMS splash start up screen (In Mods) you can select to fly F-16s only - tis what I do.

Awesome. That’s exactly what I’m looking for.
Our current setup that we’re upgrading from OF to BMS is used as a training resource for teenagers and the fewer steps between sitting down and flying the plane the better!
