Falcon MFD Software for android tablets
-
Hey Donw43…hope all is well - A 10" screen size is not necessarily a requirement. I recently got a guy going with a 7" tablet. His install was the most difficult I had to deal with thus far. He quickly found out the size was too small. He now has a 10" tablet on his gift list. Take care…

Hi komurcu,
I have posted both screens in post #582
Is there anything else I could do to help?
My device is Lenovo Tab S8-50L.To clarify what Komurcu is looking for in Post #585 above, when you first tap the MFD Apk, he wants a screenshoot of that screen. This is where you will find the “Screen Width”, “Screen Height”, and “Density” information.

Donw43 previous version was working fine on my tablet :).
Dracfalcon, thank you for above info, I did not realize that was what Komurcu needed. Screenshot below: -

I just installed the latest version of mfd-server / client Version 2, but I’m still getting the “unassigned keys” error message even though I pasted your key list into my key file verbatim and pointed the mfd server to the new file:
A few are missing as the entire yellow key list won’t fit on my screen
EDIT: I really like the “quick access” panel to the EWS / AP functions, great addition!
Cheers, Uwe

The quick access to the EWS/AP was a recommendation I made to Komurcu. I am glad he incorporated the suggestion. Let me know if you continue to have the keyfile issue. I see you are currently working it with Komurcu.

thanks i checked you key file
there are lot of Yellow line and 3 Red lines.
If you want to use program efficientelly
u have to declare (add keyboard buttons) those keys from falcon. For red lines you have to open key file and add those lines to end
SimDropChaff 1003 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “CMDS-Drop Chaffs”
SimECMOn -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “HOTAS-ECM on - Consent Toggle”
SimCBEOSB_8R -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “RMFD OSB-8”and declare(add keyboard buttons) keys from falcon
Have a falcon day

Thanks komurcu!
Can you please update the list in the first post so it contains all required key mappings?
Thanks, Uwe

Thanks
I updated -
I’m pulling my hair out trying to get the right AP 3-way switch to work. Here’s my key file entry:
android mfd: autopilot switches
SimRightAPUp -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 -2 “MISC ARMAMENT-PITCH ALT HOLD”
SimRightAPMid -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 -2 “MISC ARMAMENT-AP OFF”
SimRightAPDown -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 -2 “MISC ARMAMENT-Roll HOLD”end right autopilot
When I point the mfd server to the new key file, it complains about those keys being undefined.
When I activate the key in the mfd-2 android app, I get a “key does not match” error.
help
Thanks Uwe

-1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 is the hex code for not assigned
you need to assign it first
there are multiple ways to do thatas a starter check your key file in the falcon ui and you will notice that in regard of the name callback the function is labelled not assigned
therefore you must assign a key binding to it -

Thanks Uwe
When you start your server, are there any red/yellow keyfile functions…located on the right spredsheet? If so, I may be able to help.

Thanks for your help folks!
Only yesterday (and due to your help) I found out that you have to assign keyboard shortcuts to all the callbacks in order to be able to use them on the tablet. That’s why so many show up yellow in my mfd server window. I’ve managed to assign some keys to the SimRightAPUp / Med / Down callbacks and it seems stuff is starting to work as expected.
I have found a problem with the SMS mfd though: when I click on the pair / single OSB on the mfd, the value changes on the screen but not on the mfd displayed on the tablet.
I’ll try to look into this.
@komurcu: Thanks for the new version. Any reason to upgrade if I don’t have any problems with the tablet resolution? Could you please open the mfd server window in the last used size and not maximized? Not a biggie

Let me know what callbacks are still red/yellow. I will post the info. As for pair/single OSB on the MFD, is that the only OSB that is not working. Normally, if one OSB is doing what you say, there are others as well.
-
@Hoover - Did you get all your callbacks squared away?
-
I still have few left “yellow” in the mfd server screen, but most of the stuff I use routinely works just fine ATM.
Thanks again for your stellar support and this great tool!
Uwe

Roger. Let me know if you ever need all the “yellows” gone.
