JFS START 2
-
Hi
I am trying to ramp start the F-16 but when I get to the step in the checklist that has you turn the JFS switch to START 2 I seem to be unable to do so. The switch will not turn even though I move my mouse over it and the cursor turns green. I have also looked up the key command and tried that but it still doesn’t move. Is this a bug or something, or am I not going to be able to ramp start now?
I am also having trouble figuring out how to close the canopy. In the training manual it just says (spider) next to the canopy close step. Whatever that means. I can’t find the key command for it either.

You have this issue at default Korea theater and with which model of F-16?
Nikos. -
make sure the you throttle is off (0%). Id it is more, the JFS cannot be engaged.
As for the canopy, move your mouse over the area that the spider connects to the canopy frame ( grey area above the yellow spider) until you see the switch hot spot. -
If it is the F-16B, you need to right click on the button to get it up and running. (JFS)

Hi Winger!
I had the same issue! The check list says spider and I’m like “WHAT SPIDER!!”
Later I found out is that yellow handle that I guess it resembles a spider. Hover mouse over it and it changes to green.
The JFS needs to be Right-Clicked rather than Left-Click. It is the only switch where you Rick-Click.
