TE Building - Sqdn Question
-
So I’ve build a TE in Ikaros, placing squadrons in their real life respective airbases. Name and ‘patched’ using Mission Commander. Now, when I return to BMS and load the TE and start adding packages/flights, I’ve still the option of adding flights of aircraft that I have not already added as squadrons.
In theatres with so many aircraft as Ikaros, this makes scrolling very fiddly. Is there a way to make the available aircraft for flight/package creation come from existing squadrons only, like in the campaign?

Not that I know of, sadly you’ll always see all available a/c in a theater by default. I usually note the sqns and their respective air bases so you can select them in a more detailed manner using the “airbase” dropdown.

I do the same
I document my template accordingly and when I want to add a flight, I take care to specifically choose one from the squadron I added on the template, ignoring the rest
It’s a bit more work, but saves you time in the long term -
One thing you could do, but it will be limiting ulrimately, is edit the teplanes.lst file to include only the jets you want to use on a regular basis.

Thanks guys. I noticed that all aircraft (ie, ones that aren’t added as squadrons) only show in TE builder. If I launch the TE, and stop the clock, I see only my squadron available aircraft, as I expected. Is there any harm in ‘building’ the flights in this mode, then saving, before going back into mission builder to add/adjust ground units etc?

Next question. I know there is a config option to ‘fly F-16 only’. I like this, as I’m only interested in flying the viper. Is there a way to hide non Viper flights from the mission window in a TE, but still have them be tasked etc?
