Lorik's Korea: new campaigns mod (separate theater)
-
Happy New Year everybody!
The excuse I found is an update from 1.10 to 1.11.
See the first post. You can download the small update or the whole pack.
Enjoy!

Last night I set up Lorik’s Balkans and am extremely excited about it. So, I went to set up Korea, but have a problem…
Add-On KoreaLorik 1.11\Terrdata\theaterdefinition\KoreaLorik 111.tdf is in Theater.lst
The “full folder” ( I didn’t have 1.10) is in 4.33/Data
My procedure was exactly as with Lorik Balkan, which worked, but Lorik Korea does not some up on my theater list -

Hi Lorik. First off, Fantastic campaign. We are loving the NOE.
We are playing the Creel Campaign and run into a possible bug. We are entering Day 2 0730 and experiencing a CTD. I’ve looked in Mono and it appears to happen after “Campaign Stage 7” activates.
We’ve tried it on multiple computers and get the same result. Any thoughts? Thanks

Thank you Rabbit, can you send me the save files? I’ll have a look this week-end.

Hey Rabbit. Here’s the few data I collected.
1. Campaign stage keeps cycling from 0 to 11 with one stage for 5 minutes. If I manage to short-circuit stage 7, it crashes at stage 8, 5 minutes later.
2. Crash disappears if I remove US 2nd Mech M2A3 Brigade, Nr 517, and all its battalions. I suppose you can do that (in Mission Commander… when it asks what you want to do about squadrons not in table, say no).
I’m not sure why it happens (units themselves, number allocated…) but you can certainly do without that brigade.
Replaying quickly the campaign doesn’t crash at this time, so, there is no critical time at 20735. I hope the rest will be good.
Keep me updated, and enjoying the next days of your struggle to Seoul and Kwangju
EDIT: why this brigade? Yes, I did remove a few things in groups and separately before this one, I don’t know

This is posted in Lorik’s Balkans and in Lorik’s Korea threads.
Hey guys!
Aren’t you all enjoying 4.34? I had my first MP flight today, so much to learn, re-learn, tactics to adapt, new situations to confront. And it feels so good!
I’ve already been asked if my “Lorik’s” theater mods are compatible with 4.34 or not; I thought it would deserve an answer, especially when Balkans is already out.
1. 4.34 has so much to be discovered for a 4.33 user. The best way to do it is to use what the devs prepared for us, aka KTO. Go fly your first “old” campaign flight, insert on the ground traffic, appreciate the new AI air-to-air behavior, the new SAM behavior, insert into recovery traffic. You’ll struggle and will probably realize you want to make things as simple as they can be, to start with. Moreover, KTO is, to my knowledge, the only theater proposing a full ATC experience at the moment. It contains so many improvements in .34, that wouldn’t want to miss them.
2. When I started to play with Mission Commander and created news campaigns, I quickly started to try to fill areas of air combat I couldn’t find as much as I wanted in other campaigns I had flied. With 4.34, we have new logics for a lot of stuff in many areas, a very serious challenge in the new campaigns. Converting from .33 versions is certainly possible, maybe just to an extent. I will try to see how I end up with, especially with the Korean mod. But I’m certain .34 will drive me to new ideas that could be more interesting to just converting my thoughts about 4.33 into 4.34. To my own surprise, some of them aren’t really relevant any more in this environment. Did you try to bug a SA-14 launcher in the fog? They’ll have a harder time than ever.
For now, of course, the mods aren’t compatible with 4.34. If they ever become so, it will be showing here in an obvious way.
But, for what I can say now, if there is really something interesting to be done, it could as well be Lorik’s Something 2.0.
Bottom line, I’m flattered to be asked this question. I’ll answer by saying that 4.34 has way too much to offer at the moment to worry about any mod I could propose
Have a Falcon Week!
