KTO vs Korea Original

Sorry if this was asked before, but could not get much info in the forum search.

Basically why did BMS come up with KTO when there was already a Korea ‘original’ theater?
What’s the main difference & which is easier?
I’m planning to start flying in a campaign and was wondering if I should use KTO or Korea original. I plan to fly the block 50, and noticed that both KTO & original has only 1 squadron with the block 50, but at different airbase.

KTO is a newer version better optimized and tuned then the original.
