IVC keys not working
-
Hello friends.
Well I have an issue with IVC keys used for transmission.
I’m on BMS 4.33 U4 x64, and use the “BMS - Full” keys. There, keys for IVC transmission are F1 and F2 by default (and can’t be changed).
Unfortunately these specific keys (F1 and F2) used also for ICP COM1 button and ICP COM2 button respectively.
But even when I change them to something other (like Ctrl + F1 and Ctrl + F2) for ICP COM1 button and ICP COM2 button and leaving the F1 and F2 only for IVC broadcasting, still the other pilot can’t hear me into 3D world. And I noticed that when I’m pressing these specific keys, at DED the UHF and VHF words are not highlighted, meaning they are not working!
I can hear him at both UHF and VHF while he is using the F1 and F2 respectively via a stick, but he can’t hear me. At GUI we both can hear the other one clear.
The other pilot host Falcon BMS and IVC.
My upload speed is 0.62 Mbps and set the bandwidth to 1024.
Any advice is welcome.
Thank you.

F1 & F2 are only for use in2 D world.
In 3D you need to map a UHF & VHF to you HOTAS -
Well is it possible to can use the IVC transmission with a keyboard into 3D world? Or it is ONLY applicable via a stick?

Nikos.Of course you can affect keystrokes to those functions.
By default F1 and F2 are hardcoded for IVC UHF / VHF in 2D only ! You can re-affect those keys in 3D without issue.
For the 3D, the callbacks for UHF and VHF are :
SimTransmitCom1 Keystroke “Home”
SimTransmitCom2 Keystroke “End”Happy flying

That’s correct, and functioning too.
@Nikos: On my little own, dearest Bro, I’m using your same key and assigned to each frequency a separate button of my X-56 system instead of those two default ones mapped (“Home” and “End”, I mean).
So I think that hint may work for you too.Good luck and please let know if this succeeded.

First of all Thank you for your reply my friend.
So IF I got you right, I simply must search into the lines of the “BMS - Full” keyfile for these 2:
SimTransmitCom1 - Keystroke “Home”
SimTransmitCom2 - Keystroke “End”and then change them to F1 and F2.
Or in the worst case to use these specific keys, means “Home” and “End”.
So you can confirm the usage of IVC transmission with a keyboard (not via a stick) into 3D world, right?
Thanks again.

and then change them to F1 and F2.Yes, search for “SimTransmitCom1” and “SimTransmitCom2”
You could reaffect them to F1 and F2 if they are not already used, or just use the default Home and End keys that are already in there.
Up to you

Of course you can use your keyboard to transmit to IVC in the 3D world.
No problem with that. -

No problem with that.More generally, every button that can be mapped to a stick can be mapped to the keyboard

Thank you all Gentlemen, and especially friend “Flow32”!
I already made a check and see that now at DED the UHF and VHF are highlighted when I’m pressing the proper keys.
So normally they will work.
I will inform this post when I will check online, just to help any other.
