X52 throttle issue
-
Played Falcon BMS for the first time today. I have used my X52 with many other games without issue and have current drivers installed. BMS recognizes botht he stick and throttle buttons, but assigns throttle control to the slider instead of the actual throttle and I cam not figure out how to change it. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Soleseeker,
Welcome to BMS. In BMS goto controller advanced settings and map zip axis to throttle. Better search X2 profile thread on forum and use some pre-built profile. If it is X2 (not pro) then I would recommend KesMonkey profile. Download profile and key file from forum. It has screen shots and instructions for settings. On YouTube search Krause BMS tutorial. There is one complete tutorial on stick setup. You need Krause videos for learning BMS. -
Thanks for the recommendations. I will give it a shot.

This is default for FF, too: goto Setup/Controllers/Advanced/Flight Controls and set the throttle axis to “Z”.

Far easier to go into SETUP, In there is a button called CONTROLLERS, click on it, Youll have a window with an ADVANCED button, click it, now your in a window with with 4 heading tabs, choose FLIGHT CONTROLS, set the throttle to Z AXIS, you can set the slider to the throttle for the right hand engine if you fancy having a pootle round in a twin engine machine, Click Apply and OK your way back to main window and your set to go Once youve set your AB point or the point where your afterburner kicks in. It uses tons of fuel so usually I make it not far from the top of the throttle travel, move your throttle to where you want it to start and click the SET AB button. Then click the CENTRE button under it this centres your joystick. Pick what you want to do and happy flying.
Word of advice, Falcon is a seriously complex sim, take a step at a time when learning and get each bit right in your head before progressing onwards. Same with building a HOTAS profile, add a couple of bits at a time and get used to it first. Use an already built file and youll get thrown in at the deep end, its a great sim to fly and loads of good fliers will be able to help you out.
