F\A-18 Idle Detent Switch
-
Does the F\A-18 have an idle detent switch in the cockpit like the F16?

W, if you’re speaking of within BMS the answer is yes, as long as you’ve set it up in the UI. IRL, I _believe_it does. NATOPS described putting throttle(s) to "IDLE-15%. " This differs from the “Throttle- OFF” mentioned in shut down.
As you’re probably aware, the RL f-18 start up is way different then we do in BMS -
IRL the throttle has finger lifts, they are mechanical stops

I believe most aircraft, especially jets, will have a detent at idle to stop from shutting down the engines in flight by accident.

No one answered the question, assuming I’m reading the question correctly. No, there is no clickable spot in the F/A-18 cockpit associated with callback SimThrottleIdleDetent. I looked through the 3dbuttons.dat for a couple cockpit folders (CF188, F18D) and didn’t see the entry.
