How to limit weapons in campaign?
-
Is there a way to limit available weapons in campaign? You know how some weapons it says OUT in campaign weapon arming, is there a way to edit that?
I want to make campaigns set in 1984 and 1985 cold war era. Tried mission commander. I can do everything I need with mission commander except this.

No, alas you can simply iterately remove weapons but not limit them as you’d like, unless you edit the database, which is multiplayer critical. If you ever come to play with that, make a back-up of your Terrdata until you figure out what exactly you change and how, through the Editor.
That’s why I prefer playing with that when I work on a mod theater. I like, as well, to remove weapons that make things easier.

I found a way to do it, not ideal but it works. In mission commander you can load weapons that are OUT in campaign, just flew a campaign mission in F-16C block 25 with Sparrows and Shrikes, it’s 1984! No cheating with nukes though… lol.

Ah I see, you want to to do it the other way round, not prevent the user from loading modern weapons. Yes, you can do that, indeed.

Yes there is a way to do/edit it!
To simply answer your question……
Open the Falcon Editor, go to the Units tab, below that select the Squadron Tab. You can sort the entries by the for columns as you wish to find what you’re looking for, sorting by Element 0 is alphabetical.
-
Double click on the unit type you want, I selected F-16C-30, the Unit Data box appears.
-
Click on the Squadron Stores button and the Squadron Stores Editor box appears.
-
Sort by name is alphabetical, sorting by Stores is easiest as it will have all the weapons at the top that have an amount for use. Use the buttons, Zeroise/-10/-1/+1/+10 to change the count to what you wish. Click on the Save button to make your changes, save all the way back out and you’re finished.

It is easier to remove out of timeframe weapons from the hardpoints in database.

Great thanks. Of course squadron stores I had a look at that but missed it.

That’s the kind of things I was speaking about in the first place. Be sure of what you do and remember it’s MP critical.
