OK well I tried to delete the file you told but it still stayed the same I also went to compatibility and checked the “disable Full Screen Optimizations” nothing its still the same. Im scratching my head I think I may have to uninstall it and then just reinstall it on that drive. Unless you have some other ideas to try….
-
I could have uninstalled and reinstalled in the time it took to read this thread.
And even less doing it using combinations of the other methods.
Baby steps first. Its safer.
PS: Save your log book and the last save of any camp your far into.

Yeah but the good thing about this is experimentation to see what works and what doesn’t, it may help others in the future…just saying! So I backed up the Data, User and Bin folders I think that pretty much covers it. I may just uninstall the game on my C drive and the reinstall it on F. It looks to be the easiest way right now. I just dont wat to lose my all my Jonhas mods and my settings…

when it comes to software, if you can, anytime you make a hardware change you should just do it fresh. You’re right of course, about experience sharing and wisdom, but just coming from a “dont be paranoid you can fix anything you lose in five minutes plus no headache” angle , I have heard people worry about their hard drives, changing OS SSD or HDD, flipping out components, drivers etc etc etc.
you give windows the best opportunity of success when you do things fresh. in saying that, most times transfering a cfg file or a profile is very easy, as opposed to dealing with regedits, or some of the harry business that can pop up when swapping components hardware and drives.

Oh, just so you know, you’re the one jumping in the thread saying you could do this and that in the time you read the thread…which is amazing, even by Superman standards…THUS, my reply to you SuperSHAD!!!
Oh #2, me bitter, not even, not old either…You assume quite a bit!!

OK Fellas
Im going to end this by saying that my final decision is that is much easier to just uninstall this game and re-install it. I did however listen to you guys and back up my Data, User and Bin folders which contained 99.9 percent of everything I needed to return my game back to what I had starting out with. Now my Falcon 4.0 and BMS 4.34 are the only things installed on my 2TB SSD. I will reinstall DCS though when the F-16 rolls out with her….So a big thanks to all of you who left constructive and helpful words. This game is only a game and we need to all just enjoy it as is. Thanks again fellas… Salute! -
Don’t restore the Bin folder, only Data.
If you restore your entire User folder, you might have the same screen issue. If you want to start again with a virgin install, restore only your logbook and key-files located in your User/Config folder. Maybe also you Campaign folder to get all your TE and Camp save back.
Small tip:
Once you have reinstalled a stock 4.34 … If you think you might have to uninstall/reinstall because you are not 100% sure of what you are gonna do with your files and folders => Before doing any modifications and before launching it for the first time, save your entire 4.34 folder somewhere. So anytime, you can “restore an original vanilla” version by just copy/pasting the save into you current BMS location. This will avoid you to redo the entire unsinstall/reinstall process and keeps your registry unchanged.

Yea shadow he says the same for me also.
He has his bad days and he can’t control it and goes personal.Hee gets to my nerves also, but lately i proven to him that his sayings for me where wrong.
C9 shadow comes in good will as you as me, if our opinion is wrong to your standards just say it without being rude or making it personal.
If you want to take that steam out hunt the dcs fanboys.

Thanks Arty
I apologize to all for my outburst, as I mentioned I do often lack in social skills & at times have no filter.
But I don’t believe I ever intend to be mean spirited. -
@Dee-Jay
I backed up my whole install to be safe, but I once I re-installed the folders to the new install on my SSD everything was perfect. I just had to reset my 2 MFD’s and because I had a screen shot of those settings it was easy pezy…lol Thanks to everyone who helped and I hope that this in someway can help others if they chose to do the same thing I did. I gotta tell ya though its crazy how much faster the load times are that this is now on my SSD…Salute all! -
Glad everything went fine!
Have a nice Falcon day.

You as well buddy,

Pfff… Amateurs
If the OP is running the binary from the C path while the registry is pointing to another install on another drive it’s understandable it would cause all sorts of issues.

20min including missions, User files, confirm settings and fumble over the uninstall for a min.
And test
Stay in tune with the process, until your comfortable. In Win98/2k it was at least a every 3 month thing. If not weekly.

that everything turns into a pissing match surrounding certain individuals is more to do with the impetus and honor of the community, honesty, and humility. Flight sim communities in general attract some toxic people, the best thing you can do is avoid engaging them. Unfortunately, because of the lack of options many of us are captive to these showings and cliques of immaturity and dishonesty. C’est la vie, it is part of the human condition. Laugh it off, fly the jet, crack a smile.
