Issues F-16AM BAC
-
Hey guys,
Three small graphical issues I’ve noticed in the Belgian F-16:
1. As reported here already for the Danish F-16, unlike the USAF blocks, the MLU has no OXY LOW warning light on the right eyebrow. In the BAF MLU, this warning light is instead located on the Caution Panel. (4th from bottom right)
When testing MAL / IND, as in the picture below, it’s there. However, when testing the OXY QTY, we get a flashing WARN on the HUD, but no indication on the panel. (unlit, the Caution Panel also says OBOGS, but that’s a really minor detail)2. When set to NAV, the EGI knob appears to be pointing at the IN FLT ALIGN. The line under NAV also seems offset to the left slightly, and the text is overlapped by the knob.
3. The FCS Caution Reset Button, at the end of the arrow, is black, making it nearly invisible. It should be white. (was correct in 4.33U5)
Cheers,

In regards to the oxygen lights, this is not a MLU problem.
The root lies whether the F-16 variant simulates the liquid oxygen system or the Onboard Oxygen Generating System. There are allot of BMS cockpits that do not have the correct hardware components depending on what system they are mimicking.RL Liquid oxygen system
Waring light : none
Caution light : OXY LOW
Has a Liquid Oxygen indicator
Test panel : OXY QTY switchRL OBOGS
Warning light : OXY LOW
Caution light : OBOGS
Test panel : OBOGS BIT switch
Has a OBOGS monitor panel
Has no Liquid Oxygen indicatorBoth systems have a slightly different oxygen control panels.
BMS also does not simulate the OXY QTY test in any F-16 variants . On the other hand all BMS F-16 variants have the OBOGS BIT modeled.

Additionally, the MAL/ADV indicator has changed to orange (both) , but I have confirmation BAF panels have green and orange indicators on that part, not both orange.
-
I forgot to add, wrt loadouts: if my information is correct, the Belgian F-16AM also have GBU-39 SDB, but no longer have / use AGM-65, BL-755, LAU-3 or AN/AAQ-14 LANTIRN.

It does to a certain degree. When flipping the OXY QTY switch on the TEST panel, the OXY QTY totalizer on the right aux panel switches to <0,5L IIRC. IRL, if my source is correct, the needle moves from right to left and the warning light comes on passing 0.5L. In BMS the needle jumps immediately, but still, it’s there to a small extend none the less:)

Dose the OXY LOW caution light illuminate ?
And since no warning light is triggered due to the lack of one, the flashing WARN on the HUD and warning audio should not exist -
Dose the OXY LOW caution light illuminate ?
IRL or in BMS?
That’s the first item Eagle Eye posted in this thread
IRL the caution panel indicator comes on when OXY QTY test makes the totalizer needle go below <0,5L. In BMS the needle of the totalizer jumps to that position but no active warning on the caution panel (and no on the right eyebrow as per block50/52 because the indicator is not there IRL on MLU and therefor also removed in BMS MLU pit.)
No idea on coding complexity but since in BMS it’s essentially a block52 retrofit, it might be a quick & dirty workaround to have the right eyebrow indicator physically moved on top of the caution panel indicator and use a MLU specific texture (these already exist for other parts in the pit) to have it light up during the test. -

In BMS
It does with the MAL / IND test, as evidenced above, but not when testing the OXY QTY.
