Which type? Maybe was a fix what I have not been released. I tested with MiG-29A just now and previously the Su-24 was buggy but now it works. In next release they will be fine.
Iâm 3 weeks vacation from tomorrow therefore I will have time to work on the campaigns. -
It is the " KMGUm " .
I tried it on a MiG-29A but havenât yet figure out the good way to drop it .
-EDIT : will make another try this afternoon then report to you with accurate infos .
-
Nevermind !
I just figured out how this work âŚ
the thing is that thereâs any cue(release angle scale) with this weapon in CCRP mode , only the bomb steering line .
I just had to fly right above the target while holding the release button . âRDYâ 's flashing ⌠and it take quite a bit for the sms to show you that the store is depleted ; I had to wait until the last bomblet , to see that I actually dropped smg ; the 2nd time , I was more used to it , so I could distinctly hear the bomblet popping from the store .
I also could feel the plane wobbling during the process .
And I indeed could see the ⌠errr ⌠the result âŚ
Only drawback :very huge loss of framerate ( I dropped 90 bomblets in once at my 2nd run , and my computer struggled a bit with the 90 explosions )
The KMGUm is a very impressive weapon .
Maybe a bit brutal ?
-
Which type?
I only have the KMGUm in my Korea80âs theater .
There are other type ? I would like to try them too âŚ

I mean for which aircraft does not work?
-
As I told you above , it works (but itâs likely i didnât expressed me correctly , sorry !)
I didnât tried for another AC , but it works perfectly , at least with the MiG-29A that I tried . It was just my ânoobnessâ with this kind of weapon that was the âissueâ .

Eddropper solved the issues. Again. :bowd: The next release comes with green Block 40/42 MFDs. Only LANTIRN will be available. HTS pod will be disabled it was not available in late '80s.
-
I started to create the OOB of the NATO vs WPACT campaign. Main features of the campaign:
- It will be a late '80s with very limited qty. of S-300, S-300V and Buk-M1.
- Likely these red SAMs wonât be way to brutal because blue side will have EA-111A, one large or two smaller sq. at least.
- Many of blue jets will have ARM, sometimes only AGM-45 or F-16 without HTS pod. (Block 30/32, 40/42) F-4G also will available from 0 hour. Some European jet also could use ARM.
- Both sides can have SOJ planes (EF-111A and Su-24MP) which make less OP the Patriot and HAWK for the red side.
- As a âprototypeâ unit the Block 40/42 will be available as in Rolling Fire. It is the only F-16 in the theater which is âall aroundâ. LGB, AGM-65, AGM-88 and dumb bombs are all available.
- A half squadron (only 12 plane) F-15E also with LANTIRN.
- I have to consider the F-117 because maybe it would be way to OP.
-
The Bear Trap is partially have done by eddropper, will be adjusted to a fictional mid '80 s scenario.
-
The Iron Fortress will be an early '80s campaign.
Currently I do not plan to create more than these. Of course anybody can adjust them with available tools.
Sorry for the delay but I have so many projects that so far I was not able to find time to make these. But considering this likely I wonât go further editing that this. Hopefully the community can use this as a base.

Thats ok Molni.
Its a lot of great fun as it is. Thank you!

Korea 80â for 4.35 will be GREAT !

Korea 80â for 4.35 will be GREAT !
Iâm not sure that will or not will be. Maybe for 4.36.
If you can live with that 3D models wonât be imported likely it can be done.
It depends on factors outside of mine authority. To '80s only the F-14 pit, EA-6B and A-6E is needed from old models. The rest of the work can be done with Mission Commander and the Inbuilt Editor.

Hi Molnibalage,
Sorry , Iâm afraid I canât clearly understand this . What do you mean by â3D model that wonât be importedâ ? ( English isnât my language, so sometimes I need more precisions to understand accurately, sorry)
What I know , is that I would already be glad to see this theater working with 4.35 improvement such as multi targeting SAMs and firing boats ⌠. Itâs one of my fav

I donât understand clearly neither .
Do you need help to do smg ?
-
Edropper can re import again the listed models as I know.
Then the rest is only fairly easy.
In fact anybody can make very quickly a very basic '80s mod if canât wait these 3D models. -
Sorry I tried to read the threads, I am trying to understand whether this campaign works as-is for 4.35 U3?
-
Perhaps the Korea 80âs will be available for 4.36 now?

@VDK I left the world of moddong F4.0 It is too time consuming, my skills are eroded.
As long as Falcon editor and Mission Commander works anybody can do a quick mod.Just change the loadout of the planes, the squadron sizes if you want, the composition of the SAMs in a battalion and the OOB with MC. The only real knowledge is to make a separated theater
I gladly give a doc for a good OOB and sq. sizes etc. to create at least a basic one but besides my RL and YT channel I simply do not have time for this. Heck, since ~10+ years I do not fly F4.0 except if I wish to examine some RL related things or just using an illustration.

@VDK said in Korea '80s Theater:
If you can share this doc i will be very greatfull!
Thanks!
Here it is.
https://www.mediafire.com/file/lqas4fgx2af2pa9/Korea-80s-pack.zip/file-
Loadout and role scores are very, very, very old, but it shows what I tried to achieve.
DPRK jets try to SEAD the HAWKs with massive packages. Also the loadout of red jets corrects at least the basic errors which likely still exist in BMS. Fixing the racks is far harder. Soviet had 2,4 and 6 bomb racks, they NEVER had 3 bomb racks which always were used in F4.0 world somehow⌠-
Patriot should not be allowed for blue side, OP.
-
A-10 should be a single sq. with 12 planes, it is insanely OP in 2D world
-
-
@molnibalage Thank you very much sir!
I will try to make an 80âs theater all by my self using only the MC and your tips!
-
- DPRK never had SA-13 or SA-9 but for balance reasons I would apply SA-9, especially for the best units.
- DPRK never had SA-4 (it was only WPACTâŚ!) and SA-6, but also in limited qty. you can apply SA-6.
- As MANPAD only SA-7 and SA-14 should represent the elite.
- SA-5 in RL is deployed at one site with multiple target channels (Check SAMsim manual.) Try to put them as close as you can do to model their target channel distribution. In RL two sites were built.
Battery group/batteries, 1 battery = 1 target channel
North Korea 1987-1/2, 1990-1/2- DPRK had only SA-2 and SA-3
- It is a good approach to create battalions with or without AD so you can mix them to create a larger formation where the combat / AD vehicle ratio is better.
- Likely nobody plays under level 3 difficulty. In this case both sides use 12 slots for battalions. On Veteran level 14 is used by the opponent an ace 16 while the weaker side have access only 10 and 8 slots respectively. Use this âladderâ to define the composition of the units. So if you wish to provide AD to any unit they should be in the 0-7 slots because they are available on every diff. level.
- For DPRK only T-55/62.
- For Soviet units, best units SA-13 + ZSU-23 with T-80 + BPM-2. Second echelon is T-72 + SA-9 + ZSU-23 + BMP-1 / BTR. SA-15 and SA-19 are post Cold War systems.
- For Soviets SA-4/6/9/13 as army air defense is OK. SA-11 was deployed only from 1987 and only in HUN and East GER.
- S-300PS or maybe PT was deployed near Vladivostok.
- PRC literally did not have any usable army air defense SAMs in '80s except MANPADs and maybe Crotale. I canât recall when they were sold to them.
