Korea '80s Theater

Yeah, true that, Franco… good old times gone, isn’t it?
It looks nice, dear Eddropper!
Now, and this told not to criticize at all costs… but what about that time counter’s bright light green color could be done with? (hint, hint)Thanks a lot in advance!
My eyes give their best regards to you all.

Was the reinforcement speed increased in the last version of the campaign by any chance for ground units ?
I’m asking because it may be a pure random accident but it’s the second time in only a couple of hours that I see a SA-2 batallion get a Fan Song back after I destroyed it. -

I’m asking because it may be a pure random accident but it’s the second time in only a couple of hours that I see a SA-2 batallion get a Fan Song back after I destroyed it.There is only a single SA-2 battalion as reinforcement which is defined by the original campaign. I did not add such battalion.
Resupply what you are talking about what I do not have any skill to define or change such thing. -
You’re right, I actually meant resupply.
I tried again with a “stock” KTO campaign. The same happened: the debriefing window said the Fan Song was destroyed by my wingman, but the Fan Song was actually still present in the battalion roster and the batallion was still operational. It seems it’s a bug in BMS itself, and not a feature of your 80’s campaign. -
Just a short statement.
The nex. campaign likely will be NATO vs WPACT campaign. I do not know when will be made besides my other projects but I wish to do.
The Iron Fortress as any early '80s campaign is also planned.Eddropper sent me a bit upgraded DB it will be released with the new campaign.
I cannot promise the rest maybe they never be done because my goal was only to create these. Of course if anybody wish to make campaigns and publish just go ahead.

This looks amazing Molni but i suffer from the issue of almost no flights being generated by ato. I have set to HQ generate

I had no time to play it, but to me initially the ATO generates quite a lot sorties on both sides.
For which sq. is this an issue? -
I apologize Molni i might have spoken too soon its working fine now. Cheers

I need some data and maybe help.
Since when is available for F-16 Block 40/42 the HTS pod? If it was not available in late '80s is it possible to disable somehow the availability of the pod?
I started to fly with the campaign but I wished to use colorless MFD on Block 40. I disabled the color option in the avionics configuration just for sure both Block 40 variants but nothing happened. What can be the problem? The Block 15 has green MFDs which I wanted to get for Block 40/42. I also will check the Block 25. Because of more immersion I plan to swap to Block 25 the Block 15. Both will lack PGM but at least the cockpit it is much closer what BMS4 can provide.

Go in AcData of your current TO as usual , then : “Avionic color MFD” : set the value to 0 , it should do it (I 've just done it for my MiG-23 in Somalia TO, it worked perfectky) . I don’t think it’s MP critical .
-EDIT-
Sorry , nevermind , I misread your post, i thought you were talking about the color screen of the TGP . Sorry .
-EDIT reloaded : sorry again, you can try my “fix” , I checked and I also have a green MFD , not only the TGP screen, so finally it could be what you want .
Regards,

Regards,
I got CTD following the change during loading a TE with the plane and I have no idea why…
Every time.In fact if I change the greyscale line 1 to 0 also CTD.
Even if I swap back values to 1 I got CTD. I had to copy back the original dat files.
Maybe the avionics config has conflicts with 3rd party dat files? -
After reading your last post I made some tests :
I tried to change the MFD color to green for the stock MiG 23 of ITO(F-16 pit) . The stock plane has a colored MFD(1 in its fm ) . I applied the"fix"(1 to 0 ) : Success , green MFD .
Then I tried to do the same with the F-16 blk40 in the same theater : Don’t work , colored MFD . I tried also Avionic Configurator and unticked the colr MFD option for your F-16blk 40 , with the fix still applied in AcDAta : Don’t work either , colored MFD .
But in any cases I encountered CTDs.
While I don’t understand why it works with the “stock” MiG 23 and not with the F-16 (whereas they share the same pit ?!?) , I suspect there’s another issue in your case as i never had any CTD . And if I reset the value to 1 in the fm of the MiG , I end up with a colr MFD , as it should ….
Strange .
You are trying this for Korea 80’s ? Your CTD means you probably have messed something , somewhere , in your files .So the program is looking for info that don’t match , somewhere …

Yes, I tried with Korea '80s.
Also it would be good if I could set only LANTIRN TGP for F-16C and F-15E and somehow achieving lower resolution than Sniper. -

I’m not much experienced in this area , but it isn’t only a matter of erasing any other PODS for them from the Db of Korea 80’s ? I haven’t tried campaign or TE building yet , but I suspect it would be the best solution … But I’m probably wrong , there are many pilot or Devs here who will answer you much better than me . Let’s wait …
achieving lower resolution than Sniper.
Idk how it could be done , but …
I know when I want to have a “low res TGP feeling” (for the older fighters that carried a TGP ) I only unable the “textured TV” in the main menu and it looks perfect . Maybe just warn the pilot that it would be more realistic to do so before starting your Korea 80 campaign . ( And yes , a green MFD and low res TGP look really “oldish” and adds a lot in your theater …)
-EDIT there must be a way to set the TGP in low res by default … Do you know if there’s a dedicated “TGP file” , and where it is ? -
Did you managed to get a green MFD for your blk40 ? Have you tried to redo the experiment I tried above (with the MiG23 ) ? It could give you good clues on what is your problem, and narrow the possibilities …
If you could change the MiG’s MFD , it would mean that you have messed something directly related to the F-16 in your files
-
set only LANTIRN TGP for F-16C and F-15E
Or maybe edit bmsrack.dat for the F-16/ F-15 ?
-
Since when is available for F-16 Block 40/42 the HTS pod?
Maybe I found something that could help a little bit …
This site give an IOC in 1994 for the HTS POD .
So probably the answer is “yes” , you can disable HTS pods for the 80’s campaigns-Edit : I meant , for the F-16) . Need some cross check to be 100% sure . Who is in ?

Eddropper solved the issues. Again. :bowd: The next release comes with green Block 40/42 MFDs. Only LANTIRN will be available. HTS pod will be disabled it was not available in late '80s.
-
I started to create the OOB of the NATO vs WPACT campaign. Main features of the campaign:
- It will be a late '80s with very limited qty. of S-300, S-300V and Buk-M1.
- Likely these red SAMs won’t be way to brutal because blue side will have EA-111A, one large or two smaller sq. at least.
- Many of blue jets will have ARM, sometimes only AGM-45 or F-16 without HTS pod. (Block 30/32, 40/42) F-4G also will available from 0 hour. Some European jet also could use ARM.
- Both sides can have SOJ planes (EF-111A and Su-24MP) which make less OP the Patriot and HAWK for the red side.
- As a “prototype” unit the Block 40/42 will be available as in Rolling Fire. It is the only F-16 in the theater which is ‘all around’. LGB, AGM-65, AGM-88 and dumb bombs are all available.
- A half squadron (only 12 plane) F-15E also with LANTIRN.
- I have to consider the F-117 because maybe it would be way to OP.
-
The Bear Trap is partially have done by eddropper, will be adjusted to a fictional mid '80 s scenario.
-
The Iron Fortress will be an early '80s campaign.
Currently I do not plan to create more than these. Of course anybody can adjust them with available tools.

Eddropper solved the issues. Again.
:bowd:
What was the issue ?
I can’t wait to try the future campaigns .
Many , many thanks to you and all your “team”
