Server in Action View on Twitch
-
title says it all.
I would love to look at some online action now and then.Would it be cheating? Perhaps better record and upload to youtube some hours later?
Would it be possible to automate this?
I know the server must be in 3D, so it should be no problem to hit the ‘Action View’ key and start upstreaming to twitch given enough bandwidth , of course.Somewhere I read that during the original Falcon 4.0 development the team loved to let the ‘Action View’ run all day and night long.
It would not be the same with DX9 and 60+ online v-pilots.What do you think about this?

What do you think about this?
You could probably automate it jumping it between views, too, to make sure it cycles. Maybe a bit of on screen text reading to see if it hits a player…

The server is usually in Ramp sitting safely out of the way. With heads down.
Just had a play with jumping views around and even that doubled the CPU usage and that’s just with teamviewer running.
Don’t know if it would be good for stability.
And as the server is not near the FLOT the activity you get is pretty boring. Unless some one try’s to take down Sentry41.
And Camel21 is now entering the turn, not again. :woohoo:
What might be a better option is a Twitch thread where people can leave details on their current inflight broadcast ?
OK that is a good idea, I put one up lets see if it takes off.

In Open Falcon ‘Action View’ went all over the theater given some time ( hours ) - it went where the action was. : )
Give the directors seat to falcon! If it bores you it does that for a reason, I believe : )
A small app could send in the ‘1’ keystroke or whatever the key was for ‘action view’ maybe by viewer interaction (a button link) in order to pick up another action view.I remember that sometimes it turned the camera, stopped moving the camera, and went to another scenery on the theater with about 3 - 6 MACH !!!
decelerating on the new action arena and continuing. I loved that feeling of theater space being involved in the campaign rolling on and on.Just let it run.
Thanks for the twitch thread.
