Lighting panel knobs

Ok. I use a Pokeys 57U. Do you believe i can handle them?
-
don’t know the answer but, if you’re building a physical cockpit, does it really matter if the call backs are sent to BMS?
I just have mine wired up to the lights in my pit, I don’t care if they light up in the 3D pit, which I don’t use anyway.Marvin might best answer, as he just finished up his pit. or should I say masterpiece.

That’s a good point. Tbh I can leave them unwired since i didn’t light up my panels. Just curious on how to let them work. Thankyou for your tip!

I used pots with ON/OFF button and wired the button of the pot, that way I can handle them now and I can the day these become real analogue heads in the BMS UI

Another knob i’d like to know how it works is the AIR COND switch. Is it also a pot with ON/OFF switch?
-
The air source knob is a 4 position rotary switch. In BMS I never tried to rotate past the NORM position, so I can’t tell if the other positions are implemented [emoji1].
The TEMP knob is a (2 way) potentiometer with switch position in the middle. Not implemented in BMS though.
Like your progress in the cockpit build [emoji106], looks good!

Thank you for info! So i have to search a 2 way pot with middle switch position for air temp. I know this is not implemented and i don’t know if in any future it will and how mutch important it will be for simulation purpose. For Air Source it is full implemented as far as i know.
And thank you for you kind words for my cockpit. Here’s a pic of Right Console progress
I have to cut right edges when i’ll finish the right most part of the console.

Good luck with that! I gave up looking. I will either hack one, or use one with a middle detent and some logic…

As i understood correctly the switch position is in the middle so you can move the pot clockwise and counterclockwise over the switch spot. I have pots with switch but you can move them only clockwise starting from off switch position.

Correct. I have one where the switch is activated by a cam made from FR4. I"ll try to make a new cam so it activates the switch in the middle of the range…
