Centroid Track = Point Track and Force Correlated Track = Area Track ? (AGM-65G)

Hi,
Just to understand, for the AGM-65G, is ‘Centroid Track’ the same as ‘Point Track’ and ‘Force Correlated Track’ the same as ‘Area Track’ ?
Thanks!

Similar in concept to some degree perhaps.
With a TGP you use Area mode for things you cannot use Point Track on. Whereas Force Correlate mode is used on large targets where Centroid Track is not suitable as described. (it does mention you shouldn’t try to use Force Correlate on a Tank for example)
Technically there is probably some difference here…… the default mode on the Mav ABDG is Centroid Track because it uses a Centroid tracker. The TGP auto tracker is described differently and no mention of tracking Centroids I can see.

Thanks for the explanation. I see they are only somewhat similar
Update: I guess by observing the behaviour of the cross-hairs, you get a sense of the slight difference in centroid vs point.
