It works as advertised, and the axis’ didn’t need to be changedThat was a little too quick… LOL. I just received and am setting up a new Warthog throttle up now just using Alt Launcher and no programming. “The modification allows the throttle to be pushed over the afterburner stop without needing to lift the throttle levers up by hand. Simply continue to push the throttle forward and it will go over the stop. Two models will be shipped with one purchase.” Does it require a lot of force or is it just a nice detent you easily feel? I ask because he gives you two, wonder if it will break easily…

I was wondering if a little bit of a thin plastic bar (the kind of stuff you find in those window blinds or similar) taped to the throttle AB position would work so you can feel it snap forward, then back when you move the throttle into AB and back again. Would this work?
All the best, Uwe

All the best, UweThe guy in UK is done but I (think I) have the .STL file for it, just need a local 3D printer person to make it…

could you share the file Icer? A workmate has a 3d printer, I could ask him to do a couple for us

Thanks Icer!
Having thought of the Amiga recently I was reminded of those classic competition pro joysticks. Those had microswitches with a very distinctive “click” inside (four of them) which I think you could simply fix to the side of the throttle movement area so that when the throttle reaches the AB position, it’ll depress the microswitch resulting in a “click” sound and increased resistance to forward movement (because of the depressed microswitch sliding along the throttle stick).
Sadly I’ve been unable to recover one of those joysticks from our overfull basement, otherwise I’d given that dead simple “mod” a try.
All the best,
Uwe

Hi folks,
scouring the cellar for an old competition pro microswitch I found this… it works really nicely, is a non-destructive install and provides all the feedback needed for an “afterburner detent” switch (at least as good as the one on the HOTAS Cougar throttle).
Mod in operation (with sound :))

Cost in parts: 0€ / $0
Install time: 5 minutes (if you have a strip of velcro lying around)All the best,
Uwe
